AJ has been tucked away in Class A-Public, earning All-State honors his sophomore and junior seasons. Now a transfer to Douglas County cost him an opportunity to be seen at GBCA Live, further putting him behind the eight ball when it comes to recruitment, but when Johnson resurfaces this season, colleges will want to make it a point to watch him. Johnson has a D-I handle and scoring touch. The 5-foot-9 guard scores in every way imaginable as a human highlight reel that is capable of scoring 40 at any given moment. The lefty has the ball on a string as he breaks down defenders and gets to his three-point shot. The way Johnson is able to stop on a dime for his pull-up jumper has defenders’ knees buckling and when he gets into the paint, AJ has a tear drop floater to negate length. Towns is a scorer. Not quite at the 30-point per game level as Authur Johnson Authur Johnson 5’9″ | PG Douglas County | 2023 State GA , but everywhere Oray goes he scores. He’s a savvy slasher that shoots the ball well enough from the perimeter to keep defenses off balance. His move from Villa Rica to Chapel Hill will put him under more of a spotlight.
Rudolph is a winner. He’s lost only four games over the past two seasons and has a state title to his name. Satcher is a tenacious on-ball defender. Offensively, he’s got a tight handle, able to spin off defenders and change directions as he darts into the lane. Rudolph’s mid-range jump shot is a real weapon. The gym rat is a leader.
Since Day 1 as a freshman, “Head” has been one of the best shooters in Northwest Georgia. Smith has deep range and will pull without any hesitation. The undersized guard has great strength and gets major lift on his jump shots. Head is a crafty finisher at the rim, using his body to protect from shot blockers. His court vision is an underrated attribute of his game.
At roughly 6-foot-2, Keshaun Pace Keshaun Pace 6’1″ | CG Carrollton | 2023 State GA does a lot of good things on the floor. He finds ways to contribute across the box score, picking up steals, assists and rebounds. Pace is adept at slashing into the lane and finishing in traffic. He’s got sneaky bounce which leads to highlight dunks.
An All-State season is on the horizon for Lamarius if he plays as well as he did in June. The lefty is an explosive three-level scorer that has grown his consistency from deep and is now a well above-average three-point shooter. He creates well off the dribble and has the athleticism to absorb contact when completing drives. Jackson is an aggressive offensive rebounder and a sparkplug on defense.
