Rondelle Pollard Rondelle Pollard 5'11" | PG Cleveland Heights | 2023 State OH , 5’11 PG Cleveland Heights 2023: Pollard is a member of a Cleveland Heights squad with expectations to go even further than last season, where they won a district title. Pollard is a quick guard who can really break down a defense with his quickness and ball-handling. Pretty much every member of Cleveland Heights also likes to defend, and Pollard is no different, his on-ball pressure is impressive and causes a lot of turnovers. Pollard is one of a few Cleveland Heights seniors that small colleges will want to take a look at this winter.
Jalen Wheeler Jalen Wheeler 6'0" | CG Westerville South | 2023 State OH , 6’0 CG Westerville South 2023: Wheeler is a multi-sport stud who should have college interest on both the hardwood and the gridiron. After being mostly a bench energy piece for Westerville South last season, he could be set to take a starting spot next to Jadi Cunningham Jr Jadi Cunningham Jr 6'1" | PG Westerville South | 2023 State OH this winter. Wheeler has some impressive burst and athleticism, not surprising when you watch his football highlights as well. I liked what Wheeler brought as an energy piece last season and am interested to see him take on a potentially bigger role as a senior.
Nick Timberlake Nick Timberlake 6'3" | SG Stow | 2023 State OH , 6’3 SG Stow 2023: Timberlake is a shooting specialist who can knock it down from long range. Timberlake has a quick release and moves well off the ball to make himself available for catch and shoot opportunities. Stow has a lot of small college talent (the next player featured is another) to keep an eye on this winter as they could be a sleeper in northeast Ohio.
Titus Baskerville IV Titus Baskerville IV 5'10" | PG Stow | 2023 State OH , 5’10 PG Stow 2023: Baskerville might be the fastest player in the state after being a member of a state champion 4×200 M relay team last spring. Baskerville is a blur with the ball in his hands. That skill alone had me interested in him but Baskerville also showed the ability to lead his team, doing typical point guard duties. Baskerville got his teammates involved and put pressure on the defense when the ball was in his hands. Small colleges are going to want to check out Stow this season.
Des Bolden Des Bolden 5'11" | PG Sycamore | 2023 State OH , 5’11 PG Sycamore 2023: Bolden was a steady piece for a Sycamore squad that finished a half game short of a share of the GMC championship last season. With the team returning most of their core from last year, expectations are high for the Aviators. Bolden was a huge for their success, shooting it at above 40% from 3-point range and dishing out 3.6 assists per game last season. Bolden is another undersized quick guard who caught my eye recently and could be in line for a senior season breakout.
