Blair could go down as a steal for Ritchie McKay and his staff. A long-armed 6-foot-5 swingman, he is an explosive shot-maker who will help the Flames control the glass.
Coach Capel has landed one of the area’s top prospects in Carlton Carrington Carlton Carrington 6’4″ | CG St. Frances | 2023 State #84 Nation MD . We’ve watched him blossom into a lanky 6-foot-4 guard who does a bit of everything well. Carrington is still improving. He only recently recorded his first in-game dunk. Carrington’s best playing days could be ahead of him.
Gardner is one of the premier floor-spacing forwards in the DMV area. UMBC is getting a confident shooter who can connect while on the move or spotting up.
Lamothe represents the first local commitment under Coach Kevin Willard and his new staff. Long considered one of the top guards in the region, he is a tremendous playmaker who will find multiple ways to make a difference while on the court. Lamothe is battle-tested. Expect him to bring that will to win to College Park.
Knights Head Coach Tobin Anderson is getting a versatile scoring option in Dylan Saunders Dylan Saunders 6’8″ | C Cave Spring | 2023 State VA . A post technician who exhibits solid footwork, he is a potent threat from inside and out.
Smith fits the prototypical Chris Mooney lead guard profile. He is a sub-6-foot guard who is a dynamic playmaker. Spiders fans will come accustomed to his willingness to take a charge, suffocate opponents defensively on the ball, score, and create for others.
So is a gym rat who will bring a workhorse mentality to Greensboro. The left-hander is a jack-of-all-trades at the guard position. So brings experience from the highest levels of DMV basketball and the EYBL that should help him acclimate to the next level.

UMBC is snagging an underrated guard in Ace Valentine Ace Valentine 6’2″ | PG Mount St. Joseph | 2023 State MD . The Retrievers beat out the likes of Loyola in an in-state recruiting battle. Valentine is a solid on-ball defender who can initiate the offense and is not afraid of taking shots in big moments. Look for him to make an impact on both ends of the court.
