#1 Bugsy Jensen Bugsy Jensen 6'1" | CG Churchill | 2023 State OR
Jensen has been a consistent force for the Lancers during the spring and summer. He is the top overall guard in the area going into the fall. Look for a breakout offensive season. New coach Sky Stickney is going to ask a lot of Jensen and the Lancers will need him to produce on both ends of the court. As one of the top baseball prospects in the area, Jensen spent a good deal of the summer of the diamond but look for a big season out of the rangy guard.
#2 Mike Small Mike Small 6'1" | CG Willlamette | 2023 State OR
Small is a beast for the Wolverines. With Willamette moving up to the 6A ranks, Small will need to step into a leadership role this upcoming season. He is physically imposing and yet also has a smooth skill set. His greatest area for improvement is locking in defensively for entire possessions, both on and off the ball. Small is setting himself up for a breakout season.
#3 Connor Hanson (6’2″ CG Creswell)
Hanson is a multi-sport athlete who led the bulldogs on the basketball court last year. The football star will hopefully be coming off a long playoff run so look for him to come on strong as the season progresses. Creswell could be set for a deep playoff run in 3A this February.
#4 Carson Luna (6’2″ SG Churchill)
Luna provides another capable ball handler for the Lancers along with Bugsy Jensen Bugsy Jensen 6'1" | CG Churchill | 2023 State OR . He has a long frame and great first step. Luna gives Churchill some needed depth and experience in the backcourt. He will need to be more assertive on the offensive end. Luna is one of the more underrated players in the area and could really help propel Churchill to Gill once again.
#5 Shamond O’Roy Shamond O’Roy 6'2" | CG Willamette | 2023 State OR
O’Roy had a solid spring for Willamette and is provides a great one two punch in the backcourt along with Mike Small Mike Small 6'1" | CG Willlamette | 2023 State OR . In order to help propel the Wolverines in the the Southwest conference, O’Roy will need to be consistent on both ends of the court.
#6 Gary Le Gary Le 5'7" | PG Churchill | 2023 State OR
Le gives the Lancers another option in the backcourt. He has a solid handle and uses superior lateral quickness to create space to get into the lane. Le provides a great change of pace off the bench. Look for him to put up some big assist numbers for Churchill.
