Highly skilled forward with a little bit of everything in his game. Smart passer, good of ball and on ball screener, can finish with either hand in and around the paint, and a nice little mid range jumper. Can extend out to three and knock down an open three. Long arms and makes contests on shots. Plays with a high motor and his vocal ability on the floor talking to teammates is very valuable to winning.
Highlights
Boss was a boss for Osage City this last season and look for more of the same to come. Put up a big time 40+ game in a battle with St Marys while still anchoring their defense, leading them in rebounds, and running the offense. Boss has a unique size and skill set combo for his small ball 4 position but he can play across the positional line on both ends of the floor.
Long and active wing player that is a plug and play type of player. Can get on runs of tough made shots from the perimeter, has made some unique finishes in traffic, plays with a motor and force on both ends, and isn’t afraid to take on challenges on the defensive side of the floor. Willing to battle through bumps and bruises on the basketball floor and go hard for his teammates. Rebounded it really well in July and played efficiently on offense.
Super bouncy athletically and versatile with his skill set. Mong can use his quickness off the bounce to blow by 5’s guarding him or go down into the post and finish over smaller defenders. Can alter games with his explosive plays at the rim, blocking shots, and creating extra possessions.
Highlights
Two way guard with perimeter and paint scoring prowess. Crafty and athletic finisher on both sides of the rim and balance to absorb contact. Solid shooter and has a nice looking pull up jumper. Really good in transition at keeping pressure on rotating defenders as well.
Big bodied mix of a wing or small ball 4 player. Strong in the pick and pop game or as a stationary catch and shoot 3 guy with size. Guards drives well with nice feet and length. Pairs with Bachelor and Conklin nicely at Washburn as each guy has a versatile skill set that will play of one another. Hirschi can also rebound it at a high level and pass over defenders.
Highlights
Behnke will play a big role in the success of Ellinwood this year pairing alongside the talented scorer and playmaker in Dutton. Behnke had a stat stuffing and balanced junior campaign and his passing vision, rebounding instinct, and talent scoring the ball allows him to impact the game in a variety of ways. Does a great job running in transition to get easy ones and can rebound, push, and go to create for himself or others.
Alan Hanna
Alan Hanna
Hanna will have a much expanded role with Maize this year with a changing roster and a monster spring and summer playing with Buddy Buckets. Can fly down the court as a floor runner and fly up to the rim and finish with force. Can mix it up on the defensive end guarding quick guards, long wings, or post guys when called upon. Really effective facing up and attacking down hill off a power dribble or two.
