Britt joined forces with Team Curry 17U on Grassroots Circuit this summer. Justin averaged 13.5 ppg and 6 rebounds this past season for the Gators and Head Coach Blake Hall. He does a good job of scoring the ball from all 3 levels on the floor. Justin always plays the game first as a team player and extremely unselfish almost to a fault at times. Britt can finish on contact attacking the cup when he’s not connecting on a mid-range jumper. Look for his recruitment to get moving forward this fall for the Gators.
McKeen plays for his father on the Cobras roster. Jordyn a left-handed water-bug guard can get the ball into the gaps and paint when he’s not causing havoc on the defensive end of the floor. He really looks to play fast and get out in transition. Can the Cobras make some more noise this season like last year?
Dates does the little things to help your squad win games. The Gators (16-9) last year. Elijah can handle the rock when needed, come up with a timely steal, take a charge or make a creative bounce pass to an open teammate. He plays the game with a very vocal voice on the floor and is always in communication with his teammates.
Prep Hoops don’t recall seeing Mr. Bryant this spring or summer on the Grassroots Circuit. Keith averaged 11 ppg and 4.1 rebounds last season for the Hawks. The Hawks and Head Coach Rob Mammes will look for Bryant to provide leadership this coming season.
Capers made the move over from nearby Fort Dorchester HS to Cane Bay HS this off season. Chauncey a left-handed point guard and McKeen provide a solid 1-2 punch in the Cobras backcourt. Capers never looks to take a play-off while on the floor with his fearless mindset and determination. He will look to take a charge on command and sacrifice his small frame every time for the better of the team. Capers and McKeen provide a lot of leadership, excitement and quickness in the Cobras backcourt this coming season.
Taylor is that unknown piece to the roster at times for the Gators. Daunte won’t look to overwhelm you and then you look up and he has connected on 2-3 jumpers from the perimeter. Look for his numbers to improve this season for the Gators.
