Every update includes new players to the rankings and this update is no exception. Here are the 2023 unranked available players to watch.
Bralyn Smith Bralyn Smith 6'5" | CG St. Benedict's Prep | 2023 State #265 Nation NJ , 6’5 CG St. Benedict’s
Smith is a prospect to track this season due to his ability to impact the game in a variety of ways. The Texas native is a good athlete as he explodes off the floor for dunks and is a solid finisher around the basket. Smith has a clean release on his jumper as he wastes little motion and can get hot from distance in a hurry. He is a solid rebounder and has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor. Smith is a two-way guard prospect whose stock should continue to rise throughout the course of the season.
Mikai Klintman Mikai Klintman 6'0" | PG Bergen Catholic | 2023 State NJ , 6’0 PG Bergen Catholic
Klintman joins a talented Crusaders’ backcourt where he should have a big impact on the offense. The 6’0 guard has a nice handle, which he uses to get by his defender and finish around the rim. Klintman gets to his spot on the floor and rises up nicely on his jumper. He makes good decisions with the ball in his hands and is able to jump passing lanes on the defensive end. Klintman’s ability to run the offense will help his game in a big way as Bergen Catholic looks to retain the Non-Public A North title.
Jaylin Payne Jaylin Payne 6'8" | PF Olympus Prep | 2023 State NJ , 6’8 PF Olympus Prep
Payne is an intriguing post prospect with as he impacts the game around the basket. The 6’8 forward runs the floor hard, setting himself up for easy dunks and layups in transition. Payne is able to get position down low and can knock down jumpers in the mid-range. He is active on the offensive glass and uses his length to alter shots on the defensive end.
Jeb Williams Jeb Williams 6'5" | CG Lawrenceville Prep | 2023 State NJ , 6’5 CG Lawrenceville
Williams will be a key name to watch for Lawrenceville this season as he will play vital minutes on the perimeter. The 6’5 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. Williams moves well without the ball in his hands and is a solid finisher around the rim. He slides his feet well on the defensive end and is an underrated passer. Williams is a sharpshooting guard whose ability to knock down jumpers from behind the arc will help his stock in a big way in 2022-23.
Chad Anglin Chad Anglin 6'8" | PF Covenant College Prep | 2023 State NJ , 6’8 PF Covenant College Prep
Anglin has the potential for a big 2022-23 season with his ability to play in the paint. The 6’8 forward uses his body to create position down low and is able to draw contact in the paint. Anglin sets good screens in the half court and rolls hard to the basket. He uses his athleticism to alter shots around the basket and is a solid rebounder. Anglin is a post prospect to check out this season as he should have a strong postgrad season.
