Davis is one of the more underrecruited shooting guards in the state at East Surry High. He’s due for a solid senior season after averaging a team-high 17.2 ppg on 38 percent shooting from 3-point land along with 3.8 apg, 3.7 rpg and 3.1 spg as a combo guard threat. He’s more than a shooter and an active defender that gets after it defensively, too. He’s a wiry, 6-foot-3 guard prospect set to break out in the Triad area soon.
DJ Jackson, 6’3 G/W, Andrews High
Jackson has flown under the radar over the past few cycles but the sizeable versatile threat is slowly gaining steam with his ability to make things happen on both ends of the floor. He’s an active defender, playing passing lanes and pressuring the ball while looking to push the pace offensively and get paint touches which usually end with a made basket or a play to a teammate. He’s done well to show his impact when given opportunities.
Markquan Gilbert, 6’4 G/W, Ben L Smith
Gilbert is a 2023 prospect that’s climbed onto the PrepHoops radar over the past few months. He led the way for Ben L Smith High in 2021-22 with 14.4 ppg, 7.6 rpg and 1.1 spg on the wing heading into his senior season. He’s started to assert himself as a surefire rebounder and finisher around the rim and in traffic. After shooting 57 percent from the floor as a junior, he’s ready to show his expanded game in his final season.
Jeffrey Clark, 6’4 W, New Garden Friends School
Clark is an active wing threat set to put New Garden Friends School on thd map in 2022-23. He put together stellar production as a junior with 19.4 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 4.3 apg and 2.9 bpg. He uses his length well to make his presence and athleticism felt in various ways. As he looks to lead the team this year, look for his recruitment to grow after a productive grassroots season with Team United GSO.
Nick Elliott Nick Elliott 6'4" | SF Grimsley | 2023 State NC , 6’4 SG, Grimsley High
Elliott is one of the more underrated shooters in NC’s 2023 class. After producing 5.4 ppg on 33 percent shooting from 3-point land as a junior reserve, he’s set to make quite the breakout on the wing for Grimsley High in 2022-23. He’s a name that’s been active for NL Disciples Elite this summer and set to make quite the splash in the Greensboro area this winter.
