Tyler Castro Tyler Castro 6'3" | SG Holy Cross | 2023 State NY . 6”3. 2023. Holy Cross
Tyler is all over the court. Active hands and feet when defending the ball. Off the ball he is always moving to anticipate and jump the passing lane.
Ben Lyttle. 6”5. 2023. Stepinac
Ben has best been described as the glue guy. A winner. He has been on a very successful program doing a lot of winning. Ben is all that. But this past weekend he brought his game to a new level. A lot of the opposing coaches complimented how his game has progressed. Still has all the intangibles but showed he can handle and score it. Either inside or stroking it from mid range. The talent has always been there but now we’re seeing it. Ben should climb in our rankings and college coaches should inquire now before it’s to late.
Travis Castro. 6”2. 2023. Holy Cross
Travis was hard to take off the ball. He displayed a nice step through, in transition and also in the half court. Quick hands led to steals and he converted on the break through contact. Can knock down the three ball.
Mike Spisto Mike Spisto 5'9" | CG St Peters | 2024 State NY . 5”8. 2024. St Peters
Mike displayed real good point guard skills. A high basketball IQ combined with court awareness and vision. He was able to zip a pass or finesse it off the dribble. Has unlimited range with nice rotation,
Malik Smart Malik Smart 5'10" | PG St Francis Prep | 2024 NY . 5”10. 2023 St Francis Prep
I’ve seen Malik twice now in a month. He is ready to take the next step in his game. A quick athletic defender who can get up. Hounds the ball. He is displaying an offensive game that has come with the experience and confidence of playing against some of the city’s best. Gets into the lane and finishes and also is knocking down shots. Showed the ability to get the handoff and cut the corner and finish off the drive.
Jayport Smith. 5”9. 2024. Mount St Michael
We saw Jayport during the high school season. On that particular night some of the top stars from the Mount were not playing. He took on the role of scorer and leader. Defending is always there, a low stance keeping his man in front. He is able to get into the lane and convert or deliver a dime. This weekend at this event he showed even more maturity. I was extremely impressed that during a timeout coach got on him for something he wasn’t seeing. Instead of sulking he went out and took advantage of what the defense was giving them and led to consecutive baskets and a timeout from the other team.
Matt Frost Matt Frost 6'2" | SG St Edmunds | 2023 State NY . 6”3. 2023 St Edmunds
Really good defender. Showed the ability to shoot it from beyond the arc. Very quick in transition and finishes at the rim with defenders on him.
Elijah Moore Elijah Moore 6'3" | SG OSL | 2024 State #188 Nation NY 6”5 2023 Cardinal Hayes
BSmooth long athletic player. Elevates on his jump shot with a soft touch.
