We’ll take a look at positional rankings, ranking the guards, wings and bigs.
Here’s a look at part two of the bigs rankings, ranking 13-6 of the power forwards and centers in the class of 2024.
13)
Blake Neal
Blake
Neal
6'6" | PF
St. Stephen' St. Agnes | 2024
State
VA
| 6’5” PF | St. Stephen’s St. Agnes (#42 Overall)
Neal transferred and reclassified at SSSAS from Paul VI and he showed at the most recent DMV Live event that the extra year could be exactly what he needs as he continues to improve and could be a versatile player who plays both forward positions. He’s a super high motor and athletic guy who brings it on both ends of the floor, he attacks the glass on the offensive end and gets extra possessions and he’s a walking mismatch with his ability to take slower bigs off the bounce.
12) Reece Ketron Reece Ketron 6'9" | C Abingdon | 2024 State VA | 6’9” C | Abingdon (#41 Overall)
Ketron is a really intriguing big man prospect out of Abingdon where he also teams up with 6’11” rising senior
Evan Ramsey

as one of the more formidable front court duos in SWVA. Ketron is a long big who can alter and contest shots on drivers in the paint, he has good footwork and finishes well through traffic while also getting to the line where he knocks down his free throws and he has great vision and passing ability out of double teams in the paint.
11)
Ben Nacey

Nacey
6'9" | PF
Cox | 2024
State
VA
| 6’8” C | Cox (#38 Overall)
Nacey is one of the most improved in the 757 over the past few years and he’s had a very good summer with Wave Basketball and looks like he’ll be one of the top players in the Beach District next season. He’s grown to about 6’8” and has filled out and gotten stronger, he does a great job burying guys deep in the paint and can finish with both hands, he has soft touch out to the elbows and hits his free throws and he’s a good passer and tenacious rebounder too.
10) Abu Yarmah Abu Yarmah 6'5" | PF Patrick-Henry (Roanoke) | 2024 State VA | 6’6” PF | Patrick-Henry (#36 Overall)
This will be Yarmah’s last time in the bigs list as the past weekend when I watched him he’s improved his perimeter skillset to where he plays solely on the wing and it will increase his stock quite a bit moving forward. He’s a long and bouncy forward who thrives in transition with his explosive finishing ability, he’s improved a lot in his ball handling and is becoming a more consistent shooter and he’s a big time defender and rebounder as well.
9)
Nijel Howard

Howard
6'6" | PF
Fairfax Christian | 2024
State
VA
| 6’6” PF | Fairfax Christian (#35 Overall)
Howard is so intriguing because he’s just now starting to scratch the surface with how good he can be moving forward and it’s starting to put it together as a mismatch hybrid forward who can do a little bit of everything. He’s long and a good athlete who can get out in transition, he can stick it from deep and stretch the floor, he can post up smaller defenders and he is a versatile defender who can guard multiple positions.
8) Elijah Flowers Elijah Flowers 6'5" | PF Potomac School | 2024 State VA | 6’7” PF | Potomac School (#33 Overall)
A two sport star who also stars on the football field, Flowers enjoyed a breakout sophomore season at Potomac School who had a very good season and has continued to impress this summer. He’s a strong forward with broad shoulders and isn’t afraid to be physical in the paint, he’s a very good athlete who moves and jumps well for his size, he attacks the glass on both ends and is a good defender in the paint and he can score it in the post or on the face up as well.
7)
Billy Koudelka
Billy
Koudelka
6'9" | C
Virginia Episcopal | 2024
State
VA
| 6’10” C | VES (#25 Overall)
Koudelka is a kid not many people know about, but the VES big man shows a lot of potential for someone who has just started taking the game of basketball seriously after being a lacrosse star for years. The 6’10” big has great physical features with long arms and good coordination, he runs well and moves well laterally and as he continues to figure the game out things could click for him and he could come out of nowhere as a very intriguing prospect.
6)
Quin Gorman
Quin
Gorman
6'8" | PF
Flint Hill | 2024
State
VA
| 6’7” PF | Flint Hill (#15 Overall)
Gorman is a unique player in the DMV area as he has the size of a big man but has a lot of guard qualities to his game as well. He can put it on the deck in transition and in isolation situations to get to spots and score it, he’s a good shooter from deep and can use his size to shoot over smaller defenders and he is a fluid athlete who can run the floor and finish above the rim. He’s a walking mismatch who continues to get better and better and should see his recruitment pick up over the next year or so.
