Darlington goes as D’Marion goes. With Patrick Shelley graduated, Floyd is now the straw that stirs the drink. Floyd is a dynamic athlete that creates off the dribble. He breaks down his man and gets into the lane where he can elevate to finish or drop off assists to teammates. Aside from his advanced court vision, Floyd has the upside of being a lockdown defender.
If his running mates are out at football, Javonne Williams Javonne Williams 5’11” | CG Paulding County | 2023 State GA could get the lion’s share of the shots. He was part of a high-octane backcourt that returns three of their top four scorers this season. Williams averaged 13.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.8 steals. His motor and athleticism will be a catalyst for a Patriot team that likes to play fast.
Elijah Ford Elijah Ford 6’0″ | PG Kennesaw Mountain | 2023 State GA showed flashes last year in the Fall League, averaging 6.8 points and 1.4 assists. He’s good off the dribble and can get to the rim consistently. His three-point shot has been a work in progress, hitting six threes over eight games last season. If he can put it all together, Ford could be a sneaky good stock riser that benefits from the Fall League.
A true three-point specialist, Max Young Max Young 6’1″ | SG Central-Carrollton | 2024 State GA was one of the very best shooters a season ago finishing third with 19 made over eight games, averaging 10 points per game. Adding more off the dribble will help with his development, but if he’s got space from beyond the arc, he’s as lethal as they come.
Todd LeCadre Todd LeCadre 6’3″ | SG Marietta | 2023 State GA returns with experience after averaging 8.9 points per game, second-best for the Blue Devils a season ago in the Fall League. Todd netted 13 threes over seven games. He’s a very good jump shooter that has covetable size on the perimeter. LeCadre is strong enough to get to the basket and will be asked to score the ball consistently alongside Jaiden Mann Jaiden Mann 6’5″ | SG Hiram | 2024 State GA . Expect LeCadre to be in double digits this year.
