SubscribeWe’re back! It’s Circuit Season! The Prephoops Circuit is upon us. I will be covering and providing exposure for the Hustle Region Circuit. The Hustle Region Circuit consists of AAU Programs from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and New Mexico. The circuit features 10 stops including the Hustle Region Final in Irvine July 15th – 17th. For stop number 9 we head to Atlanta Georgia for our certified event. Several local teams made the trek across the country to compete. Let’s evaluate some of their performances.

5’11 PG D1 New Mexico 2023 (#16PHN 2023) – Sanchez has been the most consistent player for D1 New Mexico this circuit season. It’s easy to pinpoint his strengths as well. He’s a legit jump shooter that gets great elevation on his shot, allowing him to play bigger than his 5’11 height. His ability to stop and pop on a dime is borderline elite, and he changed the scoreboard today with his pull-up shooting ability.

6’8 PF D1 New Mexico 2023 – I got my first long look at Ely this weekend. He’s a hard hat glue guy that provides an interior defensive presence. His size is obvious, however, he uses it effectively to protect the rim, and block shots in both one v one situations as well as when rotating from the weakside.

6’1 PG Chosen Few 2024 (#7PHN 2024) – Adem scored the ball well, however, I want to talk about his defense. He legit made it tough on a 6’6 future big 10 forward today, showing underatted strength banging and pushing his opponent off his spot. Despite giving up a lot of size, he didn’t back down and didn’t give up anything easy. Offense checks out, as he showed range and a smooth game finishing with an array of runners and floaters in the lane.
Adonis Lafleur 6’3 SG Chosen Few 2024 – Lafleur has been impressive all circuit season with his outside shooting, and today he simply doubled down on his consistency. I remember when he only scored in transition, today it seemed as if he only scored when bombing from 30 feet away. He was effective and accurate, spacing the floor for CS.

5’11 PG Chosen Few 2024 (#20PHN 2024) – Like Lafleur Cosby shot the ball well today. Unlike Lafleur he has always been known as a shooter. What I liked most about him was the fact that he got his shot off quickly. Cosby used no wasted motion spraying threes from the corners with accuracy finishing with 20 in a hard-fought game against a good Pluto Prospects team.
