Jaylan Mitchell || Illinois || Class of 2027 ||
Big body wing really playing tough for Edmond Sumner. The upside is unreal on this kid as he is likely the best prospect in the class at the moment. Not only does he use his mass, force and strength but he can get up and down the floor. He has some skills as a big but he has more of a guard skills and you can really see it the way that he passes the ball. Unselfish kid that plays the right way. Blocks shots and he can pick up the ball and take it coast to coast. He’s really that ideal wing right now for his class which only means that he will continue to sharpen those skills as he matures. The kid is almost 6’7, should be a household name.
Jamaal McKnight Jr. || Maryland || Class of 2027 ||
Jamaal has a smooth almost effortless game as he makes those lays look easy and when he is out on the perimeter he is letting it go with ease too. But this kid has different gears, he really gets down hill and nows how to change speeds and snake his way in the lane with in an out dribbles. He is a creator as he penetrates the lane and has some smooth drop offs to his teammates. His handle is also super tight and he can switch directions in a blur. Not only does he make quick moves he goes somewhere with his moves, he is not just dribbling out there, there is a purpose to his moves.
Taj Saragba || North Carolina || Class of 2027 ||
The wings in this Class are top notch and Taj is no exception as this kid has major upside and there is a lot of talent in North Carolina. I mean you take a look at this kid and you might not believe that he is his age but he is and he is another player that will be a household name. Left hand is making him an even tougher guard. He has a nice shot and he lines that ball up really well. Really like his dribble-hesi-pull-up. Do not be surprised if you see him playing up next year on a local team that is lucky enough to snatch him up.
Trey Pinkard || Texas || Class of 2027 ||
Saw him suit up with Houston Defenders UA and the first thing you say when you see him him hoop is that he is tuff. His handle is elite and he only uses it when he needs to. When defenders try to pressure him or try and steal the ball he gets in that bag and he usually shakes his defender. He would be a fun player to play with as a big big because he draws two and has some sweet drop off’s. He is going to be in that gauntlet out in Texas and if he is for real Texas is the best place to be for him to get better.
