Boston Douglas Boston Douglas 6'3" | SG Macon | 2023 State MO (Macon): The 6’2″ 2023 guard was very good with his high energy style of play that was productive at both ends of the court. He’s an all-purpose player who helps his team in a variety of ways. He is a strong rebounder who plays good defense and hustles for loose balls with his high motor. He’s strong in the post as he can take smaller guards inside and post them up. He also has a quick first step to beat defenders to the basket.
Josiah Griffith (Hickman): The 5’11″ 2024 guard was a bit of a revelation to me during the weekend as he was one of the top perimeter shooters that I saw at the camp. This was my first time seeing him and he came out knocking down long jumpers from all over the place. He was shooting off the catch and also pulling up to drop bombs with a nice release and smooth form. He also had a couple of nice mid range jumpers off the dribble that looked very good.
Cole Kelly Cole Kelly 6'2" | SG Kirksville | 2025 State MO (Kirksville): The 6’1″ 2025 guard is a high energy player with excellent 3-point shooting ability and a high motor that never stops. He knocked down five 3-pointers in the game that I watched as he shot it off the catch and he did well coming off screens. He was also flying around making hustle plays and crashing the offensive boards to get putbacks.
Luke Bushey Luke Bushey 6'4" | SF Dadeville | 2023 State MO (Dadeville): The 6’4″ 2023 small forward is a Class 1 standout who played very well at the camp. He picked his spots offensively as he could really shoot the 3-pointer well off the catch. He also drove the ball and made some tough finishes in traffic.
Ryne Jensen (Liberty North): A 6’4″ 2025 forward who has a nice versatile skill set that was on display during the weekend. He has quick moves in the post with good footwork and a excellent finishing touch around the basket. He has good ball toughness to execute aggressive drives from the high post to get buckets. He also has a nice shooting touch from 3-point range, especially from the corners.
Josh Thomas (Warrensburg):A 5’10″ 2024 point guard who has solid fundamentals and a good feel for the game. He didn’t force many shots, but he has a nice shooting form with good accuracy. I was very impressed with his passing skills. He has good court vision and he can pass with both hands to hit his teammates on target. He also made a few nice scoring plays in traffic which showed a lot of moxie.
