Brandon Bento-Jackson Brandon Bento-Jackson 5'10" | PG Arcata | 2023 State CA-N 2023 5’10 PG of EBO.
Bento-Jackson is sharpening his pass first point guard skills with this group. He was one of the main ball handlers. He showed his ability to set and run an offense, while still being a threat to knock down his mid-range jumper. He probed, pushed, and attacked. He found shooters, and bigs with excellent passing.
Hugo Rutherford Hugo Rutherford 6'9" | C Waldorf, SF | 2023 State CA-N 2023 6’9 Center of Bay City Warriors AS
The big man has good fundamentals in the post. He’s a player you can play through, as he sets up well on the block. He has good vision, and made excellent passes to players working on the perimeter, cutting back-door, and players sneaking in on the other side. He keeps the ball high. He converted on jump-hooks and turnaround jumpers in the paint.
Jayden Teat Jayden Teat 6'3" | CG Capital Christian | 2023 State CA-N 6’3 2023 PG, CG of California Wizards 17
Teat is sharpening his combo skills. He showed he could lead a team while still being the guy who can get a bucket on most occasions. He was heard on the court while running point. He’s a solid guard with good skills, size, and foot speed to use on both sides of the ball.
Blake Hudson Blake Hudson 6'2" | PG Dougherty Valley | 2023 State CA-N 6’2 2023 PG of Lakeshow 17 Fuca.
Hudson was a key player in this teams game 1 win. His activity on the defensive side of the ball was noticeable. At 6’2 he battled with the bigs for key rebounds, got a few key blocks, had several steals in the open court that led to buckets. He was good pushing, and passing in transition finding teammates up court.
Logan Steuben Logan Steuben 6'8" | PF Inderkum | 2023 State CA-N 6’8 2023 PF of PHPS 17.
At this event you can see the progress Steuben has made working on his post skill set. The big body power forward had success using one or two dribbles, drop stepping, using the jump hook, and paint jumper to generate points, and be a low posts threat hard to guard at this level. He’s one of the top rebounders in NorCal.
Christian Wise Christian Wise 6'6" | PF Archbishop Riordan | 2023 State CA-N 6’6 2023 PF of Lakeshow 17 Fuca.
Wise is big, strong and jumps well. When locked in he can guard bigger players in the post. He uses his body to box-out bigger players. He’ll go get blocks and rebounds. He has good lift to get his paint jumper off over bigger players.
Edric Dennis Edric Dennis 6'7" | SF Vanden | 2023 State CA-N 6’7 2023 W/F of California Wizards 17.
His activity in and around the basket stood out in game one. He went after rebounds on both sides of the ball. He put in good work keeping the ball live on the offensive side generating second chance points with his effort. In past games we’ve seen him work on the perimeter. He has 3pt range and a quick release.
