Kirk is back on the hardwood after having some time off from being hurt. Grayson is a GAMER who really likes the ball in his hands during crunch time. He has no problems creating his own shot and finding ways to score the ball from 3 levels on the floor. Grayson will be back to lead a very talented Bruins program this coming season.
Wilkins was a bright spot today for his Upward Stars Upstate squad. Jamarcus finished with 17 points in a loss to CB Hoops according to my unofficial stats. He has really picked up his play over the past few months with his ability to run the floor and be rim protector at times. Jamarcus is going to continue to get better with his play around the basket.
Horace really likes to play the game at 94 feet. Jacques is a very athletic guard who always seems to be under control. Horace can really turn the corner and explode to the basket. He really likes to finish on the left-side of the cup when attacking the basket. Horace keeps the ball on a string.
Calhoun is geared to score the ball whenever on the floor. Nantambu can really take some tough shots at times and get away with making them to boot. He was able to drop some floaters in the lane today when he wasn’t scoring from downtown. Nantambu and the Patriots will look to make some noise this season in the Upstate.
Goings has been playing well the past few months on the High School and Grassroots Circuit. Ian has embraced his game around the cup. Ian plays with a bit of a mean streak at times and does his best work around the paint. Goings has a good nose for the ball and plays the game like a Junk Yard Dog at times. Ian helps you WIN games at the end of the day by doing all the little things.
Green was a nice addition for the Upward Stars SE 3SSB Select team. Joshua came off the bench and scored 13 points in the game Prep Hoops took in. Green was able to knockdown some three pointers along with adding some hustle points on complete effort. Green generally plays with the Carolina Bad Boyz but they had finished up their summer the week before down in Orlando.
Simpson will do a POSTGRAD year at Link Year Prep in Branson, MO this coming fall. Jordan has looked to fill out his body some and played quite well here today. Simpson was able to finish at the rack through contact when he wasn’t knocking down shots on the perimeter. Jordan had a solid career for the Bruins and helped get them to the Class 3A State Championship Game this past season.
