I focused my attention to the local players and here are additional standouts:
Mason Hunt Mason Hunt 6'5" | SG Bradshaw Mountain | 2024 State AZ Bradshaw Mountain (D1 Nation AZ)
The Northern AZ product is one of the better overall players in his class. What I noticed from him most is he’s getting more comfortable on the perimeter. He was shooting the 3 ball with confidence and attacking off the dribble.
Donovan Dabney Donovan Dabney 6'4" | SF Higley | 2025 State AZ Higley (Swish 365)
The sharpshooter displayed his beautiful stroke as usual this weekend. I also noticed that he’s trying to improve on other parts of his game like rebounding and defense.
Brandon Stapleton Brandon Stapleton 6'4" | CG Chandler | 2026 State AZ Chandler (AZ Gremlins 2025)
A solid all around player who ran the offense for this particular Gremlins squad. A long lefty who knows how to use his body to shield off the defender. He wasn’t shooting much outside but was slashing to the rim effectively.
John Fahrendorf John Fahrendorf 6'3" | SG St. Mary's | 2026 State AZ St. Mary’s (AZ Firestorm)
This shooter fit right in with the squad despite playing up two classes. He was tough with the ball and wasn’t hunting for shots. Every time the ball left his hands it looked good. We’ll be tracking this incoming St Mary’s freshman.
Nazir Davis Nazir Davis 6'0" | SG Eduprize | 2024 State AZ Hamilton (D1 New Mexico 2024)
The bouncy shooting guard was hitting shots from all over. The 3 and mid range pull up were on both days and when he got on the break it was showtime. One of the better scoring guards in his class.
Jaevyn Yancey Jaevyn Yancey 6'7" | PF Eduprize | 2024 State AZ Higley (Swish 365)
The Higley forward showed his presence on offense and defense with his length. He was an active rebounder as well as altering multiple shots. He’s a prospect to watch.
