Evan plays on the Middlesex Magic 17u Alex team. He is the only one on the team who is from the class 2024. The Magic team was co champions for the Varsity division. In the team’s win against Rise Above Evan had 23 points, and went 5 for 7 from three point range. He also finished well at the rim with contact, and rebounded the ball well. On defense he can guard multiple positions, and is very active. Evan is a versatile shot maker, with a strong built.
Chris Hill
Chris Hill
Chris is a versatile Stretch forward. He is very efficient, and can do a number of things to impact the game. He has a good shooting motion, and can stretch the floor and shoot, or attack off the dribble. He shot well in the game I saw, and was able to get his shot off quickly. He is a strong built, and can also score in the paint. He moves well for his size, and rotates well coming from 2 passes away. His ability to defend down low, and on the perimeter, makes him great for a defense that switches on screens. His freshman year on varsity at Mansfield he worked his way into the starting lineup, and I look forward to see how he finishes off his career this season at Mansfield.
Joshua Cameron
Joshua Cameron
Josh was one of the strongest built players I saw at the tournament. He is built like a linebacker. He has a high level of potential. Some of his shots didn’t fall in the game I saw, but his shot selection has improved. He has learned to control his body better and improved his skill set. He is now able to handle the ball, and score off the dribble. He has improved his shooting as well. On defense he is a paint protector, and a makes it tough for players to drive in the lane. Josh used to just play bully ball, but now he has a more diverse skill set. He has received a number of division 1 offers, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
Timmy Mulvey
Timmy Mulvey
Timmy is a true point guard. He is a great passer, who sees the floor well, and is a very good decision maker. Timmy is an extension of the coach. In the tournament he was always communicating, setting up the offense, and just making players around him better. He is a tough gritty guard, who is very hard working. He is pass first, but also showcased his ability to shoot, and his soft floater. Floaters are very important shots for guards to have, to score in the lane over bigger defenders. Timmy improves each time I watch him play. Any coach looking for a point guard should watch Timmy.
Muneer Ibrahem
Muneer Ibrahem
Muneer is a shifty Sharp shooting guard. He made 8 three pointers in one game in the tournament. He is able to shoot off the dribble, on the move, and catch and shoot. He can also be a facilitator. He takes smart shots, and didn’t force shots in the tournament. A college level skill set, and is continuing to get better.
