Bryce Thomas Bryce Thomas 6'0" | PG Lawrence Academy | 2023 State New E , Mass Elite, Class 2023, Position G
Bryce had a standout tournament. He has been raising his stock recently, and getting the attention of college coaches. In the tournament he made a a number of tough finishes over taller defenders. He converted on a couple of and 1’s, including a free throw line jumper while getting hit. He hit a number of big threes. He hit threes off the dribble, set shots, and off of screens or cutting. He is 5’11 but still manages to find his way in the paint all the time. When he drove the lane he was able to finish at the rim, or dish it out to the open teammate. On defense bryce has good hands, and forced a number of steals leading to fast breaks.
Marcos Montiel, Prodigy, Class 2023, Position G,
Marcos was on a high level for the entire tournament. He helped the prodigy team go 6-0, and win the tournament championship. He was named player of the game two times. He had 14 points in the semifinals, and 17 points in the championship game. Marcos is a guard with a strong built. In the tournament he did a number of things to help his team. He was able to get to the rim, and score. He hit a number of three pointers, he locked in on defense, and also did a nice job getting his teammates involved.
Presley Bruskotter, West Coast Elite, HT 6’2, Position CG, Class 2023
Presley has been a starter for his high school since his freshman season. This past season he averaged over 18 points a game, and shot a very high percentage. Presley had a very impressive showing at the Hoopfest. He has good size, and built for his Position. I saw him run the point for the team, and also play the shooting guard. He has a great spin move that he used a number of times to get by the defender and finish at the rim. He was efficient from the field in the tournament, and has a soft shooting touch.
Jaden Jauregui, Pro Skills, Class 2023, Position CG, HT 6’2
Jaden is a crafty left handed guard. He was a standout player all tournament long. His Explosiveness going to the rim is very high. He used his dribble moves effectively to get by defenders. He can score at all the three levels. He is also a long range threat from three point range. He made some deep contested three pointers. Jaden is currently talking to coaches at the division 2 level and high level division three. What ever level he plays at, he will improve the program.
Elijah Jean-Guillaume Elijah Jean-Guillaume 6'3" | CG Wilbur Cross | 2023 State New E , Prodigy, Class 2023, HT 6’6, Position F
Elijah is another standout player from the championship 6-0 Prodigy team. Elijah is a skilled, and athletic big man. In one of the game’s I saw, I watched Elijah take a charge, by sliding over in the paint from 2 passes away, to help on the drive, and get in legal guarding position. A few plays later he missed a shot, but sprinted back on defense to make a big block from behind on a fast break in the paint. Elijah is a paint protector, but also showed the ability play in transition, and even stretch the floor and shoot from the outside. Elijah is a high energy player, who has a good inside out game.
