Chicagoland, IL - The grassroots/AAU season for Prep Hoops is done for the year. It is hard to believe that It went by so fast. I saw great hustle, energy, grit, effort, and hard work all weekend at The Last Dance. Now, let's take a look at the All-Hustle Team.

All-Hustle Team

Kirk Lemons |5'11 G| Kentucky Vision Elite 2023

He stood out on Friday night when hustling for loose balls. His effort was outstanding. Kirk's hustle was also on display on the defensive side of the ball when he was creating TO's. On offense, Lemons showed off his beautiful shooting form when hitting 3-pointers. He also threw nice passes and scored at the rim.

Zach Lutmer |6'1 G| Arena Basketball Club 2023 Maher

He led the charge for Arena all weekend. He scored the ball at a 17.7 ppg clip and was 42% from 3 on the weekend. Lutmer had a nice alley-oop pass to Brandt Van Dyke from halfcourt. Zach showed great hustle and speed when scoring in transition. Arena was short-handed and Zach stepped up. His demeanor and composure helped Arena have a chance against some very talented teams. He is a great athlete and an excellent hustler.

Kaden Van Regenmorter |6'2 G| Arena Basketball Club 2025 Snyder

He is a big and robust standout athlete for his young age. Kaden does not look like a 2025 player. He was all over the court all weekend at The Last Dance. When there was a play to be made, Van Regenmorter was first to step up. On defense, he grided out possessions and he was able to guard 1-5. Kaden showed off his scoring ability with 13.7 ppg. Kaden gives 100% effort all the time. He is a talented player and a super hard worker.

Karsten Moret |6'2 G| Arena Basketball Club 2025 Snyder

Much like his teammate above, Moret was all over the court with hustle plays. He has improved immensely this summer and it was on full display in Chicago. Moret has become a stat stuffer and he averaged 14.5 ppg and 6.3 rpg. He found his rhythm and was up to the challenge of guarding the opposing team's point guard. Moret was taking PG's out of the games with his hard work and grit. Moret has a bright future.

Brady Long |5'11 G| Wisconsin Academy 2024 Esters

He played very hard on Saturday when I was watching. Brady is a full-tilt player that gives maximum effort. He made a difference on the O-glass. Long is a momentum-changing player that gives his team extra possessions via O-boards and TO's on defense. Long was also an impressive player on the offensive side of the ball. He is a skilled scorer and a gritty worker.

Jaheem Smith |5'9 PG| Team Strive Elite 2024

He played fast and furious all game long when I was watching. Smith plays fearless and he never slows down. He is a sparkplug on the basketball court. Smith pushed the tempo in transition and he is a thorn in the side of ballhandlers. Smith is a pesky defender with quick feet. He is a scrappy player that gets after loose 50/50 balls. The Florida kid is all hustle all the time!

Cameron Hundley |5'11 G| All in Athletics 2024 Gilbert Brown

He had a great weekend thanks to his hustle, determination, anticipation, grit, and playmaking ability. Hundley proved that he is a two-way player that can get the job done on both ends of the floor. His strong finishes at the rim were impressive and his TO's on the other side of the ball were excellent. Cameron is a skilled athlete and a hard worker.

Arnett Hayes |6'1 G| Stars Basketball Club UA Rise 2025

I liked his hustle and extra effort when scoring around the rim. Many times, Hayes had a defender in his way and he went up and finished with athleticism and fearlessness. His quick hands and hustle led to turnovers. Hayes plays with heart and 100% effort. He was a standout on Sunday in an overtime win.

Amari Washington |6'2 F| Iowa Barnstormers 2025 Gold

He made this article because of his hard work on the glass and the extra hustle for offensive rebounds. Amari fought and clawed for the ball. Even when he was blocked out he found a way to a hand on the ball. Washington is a strong player that gives effort on D and he is a lane protector. His hustle was also evident on offense, Washington scored many points because of his hustle and persistence.

Cole Armitage |6'1 G| Northstar Titans 17U Terhaar

He worked extremely hard in transition flying up the wings to get good looks at the rim, but not by leaking out early. Cole was tenacious on defense using his long wingspan to swallow his opponents on the perimeter! Armitage helped out the other 17U team for the Titans as well. They were a bit short-handed and Armitage stepped up. On. Friday night, I watched him shoot the cover off the ball. It was an impressive shooting performance. Armitage also hustled all over the court during the Friday night victory for Stone's crew.

Aiden Johnson |6'6 F| Northstar Titans 17U Stone

He ended up with double-digit rebounds in the game I watched. Johnson was absolutely killing it on the offensive glass. He is a long player but most of the rebounds came because of his extra effort. Johnson was fighting and battling for those offensive rebounds and the extra possession. Aiden was also diving on the floor for loose balls. With all that effort, he found himself at the FT-line and he scored with O-board putbacks.

Dominick Mueller |6'4 F| Northstar Titans 16U Brodeur

He worked hard on Saturday when grabbing rebounds. Mueller produced on both ends of the floor. He gave extra effort and refused to be blocked out. When he was on the perimeter, Dominick came flying into the lane in hopes of snagging a rebound. He stood out as an aggressive defender. Mueller also showed off hard hustle in transition. I really like the looks of his game on Saturday.

Bennet Nicholson |6'3 SF| MN Chill Elite 2024

He stood out as a hustler when sacrificing his body to save a ball from going out of bounds. He also blocked and contested shots. Bennet is a long and quick player that forced turnovers in the Chill press. He was aggressive going downhill and he got to the FT-line. Nicholson played fast and hard on both ends of the court. Bennet is an intriguing player with size, athleticism, and hustle.
