Adidas 3SSB Championships: Palmetto State Happenings

Prep Hoops was in attendance for some of the action from up in Rock Hill this past week at the Adidas 3SSB Championships. Let’s dive into the coverage with some of the Palmetto State action.

Familiar Faces Playing and Headed Out of State: 

Avantae Parker Avantae Parker 6'9" | PF Gray Collegiate | 2023 State SC , Trai White Trai White 5'10" | PG Gray Collegiate | 2023 State SC and Prince Johnson Prince Johnson 6'7" | PF Pebblebrook | 2023 State GA all dressed up at the Adidas 3SSB Championships with the Atlanta Celtics. Parker and White will both be back at Gray Collegiate in quest of another state championship for Head Coach Dion Bethea. Parker a left-handed forward has had a very solid spring and summer and picked up plenty of recruitment along the way. 

White is a floor general on the floor and a pass first point guard. Trai knows when to attack the gaps and turn up the heat on the defensive end of the floor. 

Johnson is a familiar face originally from playing at Marlboro County HS (Bennettsville) a few seasons ago. Prince then transferred to Combine Academy (NC) before landing at Pebblebrook HS (Mableton, GA) come this fall. 

Collin Murray-Boyles Collin Murray-Boyles 6'7" | PF Wasatch Academy | 2023 State UT has had a great spring and summer with Upward Stars Southeast 2023. Collin has picked up plenty of offers along this Grassroots season. He will be headed to Wasatch Academy in Utah come this fall. Collin was able to step-away and knockdown the perimeter jumper today and finish with a nice up and under at times. 

Upward Stars Southeast:

Prep Hoops was able to see the Upward Stars Southeast 2023 squad defeat Minnesota D1 in a tight battle. 

Arden Conyers Arden Conyers 6'7" | SF Westwood | 2023 State SC continues his hot play this summer with Upward Stars Southeast 2023. Conyers a big wing can knockdown the 3-ball whenever it seems this spring. Arden really plays the game in a competitive mode at all times. He was able to pick up some activity in the passing lanes today. 

TreyVon Smith TreyVon Smith 6'6" | PF Ridge View | 2025 State SC had the hot hand in the game we saw the Upward Stars Southeast 2025 in action today. Smith a left-handed forward from Gray Collegiate was very efficient on the boards today picking up a lot of loose change and easy buckets. 

Daron Dunbar Daron Dunbar 6'4" | SG North Augusta | 2025 State SC was added to the recently from North Augusta HS. Dunbar was a good spark off the bench at times with his play downhill to the bucket. Daron was able to drop a few short mid-range jumpers along the way today.
