Justin Molen | 6’6 W ‘23 EC Cyclones 17U
Sliding between the 3 & 4 spots for ECC, Molen was in his natural wing position. He traded in drives to the basket for shot-making from the perimeter. On both ends, Justin’s combination of athleticism and skill created advantages for the Cyclones which helped them secure the 17U HGSL 2 Championship.
Nyle Ralph-Beyer | 6’3 G ‘24 EC Power-Richards 16U
RB brought a sense of urgency when initiating the offense for Coach Richard’s squad. With under 20 seconds left, game tied, Nyle took a 3 and missed. But he resiliently grabbed the rebound and attacked the basket before hitting a pull-up jumper to win the game.
Ma’Kye Taylor Ma’Kye Taylor 6'7" | PF Imhotep Charter | 2024 State PA | 6’7 F ‘24 Team Final 16U
The Final 16U team was short-handed so Coach Tramayne improvised, rolling out some 3-big lineups with Taylor on the wing. Ma’Kye made the lineup effective in spurts by handling his own as a help defender and spacing the floor with multiple threes.
Kareem Thomas | 6’3 G ‘24 We-R1 Select 16U
Reem is developing into a well-rounded two-guard. He flashed self-creation skills with his improving handle in isolation. He attacked coming off of DHOs to get downhill and/or slip the ball to open teammates. And in crunch time, he played tough on-ball defense by using his length to work around screens and stay in front of his man on isolations.
Cameron Smith | 6’5 F ‘25 Philly Revolution 15U
Good things happened when this kid touched the ball. Cam was active around the basket, getting put-backs and easy looks from the dunker spot. His handle inside the arc was impressive too. He got it off the bounce from the elbow and made good decisions on drives when he beat his man.
Jake West Jake West 6'1" | PG William Penn Charter | 2025 State #193 Nation PA | 6’0 G ‘25 Team Final 15U
New Heights pressured the ball most of the game but they couldn’t speed Jake up. He controlled the pace and the vibes in their semi-finals match up. He also cashed in three treys and all of his 11 points in the second half on the way to victory.
Deuce Maxey Deuce Maxey 6'2" | SG Archbishop Wood | 2025 State PA | 6’2 G ‘25 Team Final 15U
Without Jake in their second and final game of the day, Deuce took on a bigger role when all the chips were on the table and it paid off. Maxey didn’t fire a barrage of threes like we’re used to seeing from him. But he did make an array of shots from the mid-range and got to the paint for 20 points and a HGSL 15U championship for the #CamFam.
