Source Hoops hosted some great teams during their tournament at The First Academy. As onlookers eagerly shuffled to their seats, the classes of 2023 through 2025 took to the stage. Only a choice few convincingly outshined their competition. Prospective talent always makes for a great read. Enjoy!
Class of 2023
6’4 PF Jaiden Wynn (Bartow HS)
Coach Q’s PHS team works tirelessly, with Jaiden at the helm. This talent is lean, mean, and makes for an absolute problem on the boards. He gets up and down the court quick as lightning, in part due to his point guard’s savvy transition style. Jaiden dunks with ease and likes posters… yes I watched him delay his takeoff to bait his opponent into jumping early. This guy is flat-out athletic and is determined to score at the rim. He loves to drive, traps aggressively using his impressive wingspan, and tracks the ball well. I am eager to see where he lands at the next level!

I have it on good authority this hooper can play point guard through small forward with no hesitation. He drives the lane strategically and loves getting out on fast breaks. He has handles but also moves well without the ball for his size. Woody is deceptively fast and has a knack for knowing where the ball will be before it lands. This helps to make steals and rebounding effortless. He dives for loose balls without hesitation. His toughness shines through. His pull-up jumper is on point too. I’m sure this rising senior will be receiving lots of offers soon!

Jordan has a great all-around game. He jumps to spots quickly and dribbles downhill in a hurry. He finishes tough and consistently, then jumps back on defense with the quickness. His ability to stop on a dime and change direction is amazing. He enjoys playing a part in his team’s success and is a positive influence on Showtime’s Program!

This point guard dazzles up and down the floor. He drives like he is 6’5, 230, and untouchable. This young man is quite confident in his game, as he quickly weaves in and out of countless glitchy opponents. Yamare loves to dish, especially when slashing through the paint. I witnessed a player that loves to share the ball around this game, so I look forward to watching him excel during the high school season. Yes, to be continued… Stay tuned!

This rising sophomore is so poised as he glides up the court. He is cautious and alert as he keeps an eye on traps headed his way. Keeping composure under pressure is a skill appreciated by coaches everywhere. Darius makes his Adidas Southeast Elite 3SSB team better with every game. He has quick handles, loves to push the ball, and feeds his bigs in the paint often. He can pull up from three with no problem. I look forward to seeing him continue to create and lead his teams to victory!
