SCBCA #SCLive 2022 – 2024 Top Performers – Part 1

The SCBCA #SCLive 2022 was a great success again this past season up in Rock Hill. The 2024 Palmetto State class had plenty of talent to showcase. Let’s get started right here with the action. 

Cameron Scott Cameron Scott 6'6" | SG Lexington | 2024 State #32 Nation SC – Lexington HS 

Scott is the #1 ranked player in the 2024 Palmetto State Class. Cameron has plenty of suitors from the High Major ranks on him. Scott is a very versatile player who can play on and off the ball with his skill level. 

JJ Rembert JJ Rembert 5'11" | PG Nation Ford | 2024 State SC – Nation Ford HS 

Rembert a left-handed water-bug point guard picked up an offer from Georgia Southern University this past weekend. JJ really excels in the up-tempo style of play and getting the ball to the cup.

Jeremaih McCain Jeremaih McCain 6'3" | CG Lugoff-Elgin | 2024 State SC – Lugoff-Elgin HS 

McCain is starting to really figure things out for the Demons. Jeremaih a left-handed guard can handle the rock along with finding the open man in transition. McCain has great length and wingspan to cause havoc in the passing lanes.

Damon Howey Damon Howey 6'0" | CG Lugoff-Elgin | 2024 State SC – Lugoff-Elgin HS 

Howey and McCain will provide a nice 1-2 punch for the Demons this season. Damon can change gears to get by defenders or stop and pop from the mid-range. Howey has scoring on his mind and it’s something he can do. 

Ty’ree Edwards Ty’ree Edwards 6'0" | PG Woodland | 2024 State SC – Woodland HS 

Edwards is a bit off the grid down in the Low Country. Ty’ree is smooth as the other side of the pillow at times. Edwards can drop a floater in the lane, stalk the baseline simply all from around the paint area. He really does a good job of showing body control to the basket. 

Connor Cannon Connor Cannon 6'4" | CG Fox Creek | 2024 State SC – Fox Creek HS (pictured on front)

Cannon did a bit of everything for the Predators today. Connor brought the ball up in transition and got to the rack. He rebounded everything in sight on both ends of the floor. Cannon would defend bigger players if needed or simply stick a mid-range jumper in the defender’s face. 

Devin Grainger Devin Grainger 6'1" | CG Conway | 2024 State SC – Conway HS 

Grainger is a gifted athlete and a Quarterback in the fall for the Tigers. Devin a left-handed guard really uses ball screens well at times to go with some crisp bounce passes to teammates. Grainger has good selection on the floor and rarely turns the ball over. 

Christian Andrews Christian Andrews 5'11" | PG Dorman | 2024 State SC – Dorman HS 

Andrews likes to get downhill and score the ball at the cup with either hand. Christian has scoring on his mind at times and it’s something he can do well. He can get by defenders with his ability to change speeds and get the ball into the paint at ease at times. 

Justin Ray Justin Ray 6'3" | SG Eastside | 2024 State SC – Eastside HS 

Justin came out firing from downtown all day long. Ray is a PRODUCTIVE SHOOTER with good shot selection. Justin has a nice shot release and is always ready to receive the ball in the pocket. 

Will Fowler Will Fowler 6'0" | PG Byrnes | 2024 State SC – Byrnes HS (Duncan)

Fowler is a tough kid who does it on football field and the hardwood. Will won’t hesitate at all to take a charge. He’s the absolute team guy who leaves it all out on the floor. 

DJ Harvey DJ Harvey 5'10" | PG Christ Church | 2024 State SC – Christ Church 

DJ is the table setter for the Cavaliers and Head Coach John Butler. Harvey can split the seams and find the open man racing to the cup. DJ makes open shots and always seems to be under control while on the floor.

Jamarie Brown Jamarie Brown 6'2" | PG South Florence | 2024 State SC – South Florence HS 

Brown has a great mid-range game where he really does a good job of elevating on his shot. Jamarie is geared to score the ball for the Bruins and that’s what he wants to do in the process. 

Travis Stickney Travis Stickney 6'1" | PG Oceanside Collegiate | 2024 State SC – Oceanside Collegiate (Mount Pleasant) 

Travis has had a good spring and it has carried over to the summer for the Landsharks. Stickney is a deceptive athlete who time after time comes up with big plays on both ends of the floor. Travis continues to make strides with his game. 

Aaden Fair Aaden Fair 6'1" | SG Great Falls | 2024 State SC – Great Falls HS

Fair really likes to set up shop in the corners. Aaden is a marksman from the corners with his three-point shooting. Defenders FYI – Don’t leave open.

Ladarius Cloud Ladarius Cloud 5'9" | PG Lancaster | 2024 State SC – Lancaster HS 

Cloud is an undersized scoring guard. Ladarius likes to play off the ball and more as a shooter. He does a good job of using ball screens to get by defenders. Ladarius scored the ball from all 3 levels on the floor today. 

TJ Bell TJ Bell 5'11" | PG Westwood | 2024 State SC – Westwood HS 

TJ is the catalyst to run the Redhawks offense. Bell saw the floor well today and was able to knockdown some shots along the way.
