During the Buckets in The Big Red tournament, they went 2-1 playing great competition. This group has a lot of upcoming talent in the state! Keep a close eye on this team to make noise during the school ball season and then continue to dominate the AAU scene.
Carson shot the ball with extreme confidence this weekend! He has a nice smooth shot with a quick trigger, and the range to go with it! He works well out of the pick and roll, taking what the defense gives him and not forcing it. He has the ability to put the ball on the deck and get to the rim. His eyes are always up looking to get everyone involved.
Luke Meyer (S.C. East) (M.O.C)
Meyer is a dominant big man with elite size and length. He posts really well making himself big on the block, his hands are high, and his footwork is excellent! Luke impacts the game on both ends of the ball. He has the ability to rim protect and shot block at a high level. Meyer works out of the high post really well. He can put the ball on the deck and get to the rim or make the pass to get his teammates involved. He didn’t knock down many three this weekend but shot the ball with good confidence. As his jumper comes along look for him to dominate games even more!
Owen Vander Pool (M.O.C)
Owen is a hustle guy who impacts the game without scoring! He was one of the most hardworking guys on the court when I was watching. He has a niche for the ball always coming up with offensive and defensive rebounds. His athleticism makes him a great post defender and can switch onto a guard if needed! As he becomes more confident on the offensive end, look for his game to grow a ton!
Ephraim Hoefert Ephraim Hoefert 6'8" | SF Central Lyon | 2025 State IA (Central Lyon)
Ephraim has excellent length and athleticism for a guard. His jump shot is smooth and he shoots it with confidence. He has good court vision always making the right play. His length helps him on both ends of the ball. On offense, he can finish around the rim and shoot over defenders. On defense, his size and length make him a tough defender and make it easy to rebound. As he gets stronger and grows into his body his game will be complete.
Carter Hansen Carter Hansen C Vermillion | 2025 IA (Vermillion)
Hansen is a solid player, who is a do it all guy. His vision is great and is always looking to make the extra pass! On defense, he is always working hard on and off the ball and has the ability to guard 1-4. He does have a smooth jumper with a nice high arching shot. His length gives him the ability to get in the paint and finish or dump it off to a teammate.
Easton Van Scoyk (Dakota Valley)
Easton has good size and strength to help him take advantage of mismatches. A hustle player, often keeping offensive possessions alive and on defense, coming up with rebounds. With his 6’3 frame, he can dominate smaller guards down low on the block. Easton is a solid role player and plays at 100% all the time. Look for his all-around game to continue to impact games.
Karsten Moret (Western Christian)
Karsten has been excellent all spring! The lead guard for this team does a little bit of it all. He can work being the point guard or playing off the ball. His jump shot has great form and knocks down shots at a high level. Moret has a quick first step allowing him to get into the lane and finish. On the defensive end, his hands are very active coming up with steals and tips often. Karsten is one to keep an eye on in this 2025 class!
