Below is the sixth installment in our 2022 Transfer Watch series. In this edition of the Transfer Watch, you will notice that an all-state prospect from Delaware is jumping to the Philadelphia Catholic League.
Jakob Harken Jakob Harken 6'1" | CG Perkiomen Valley | 2025 State PA – 6’1″ / Freshman / Perkiomen Valley / PSB Philly-Harken / Combo Guard: Harken is a high percentage 3-point shooter who recently posted a monster spring circuit. This former Pope John Paul II (PA) player also runs the floor well which allows him to get to the rim for a lay-in or set up for a transition three. His endless off ball movement and high basketball IQ enable Harken to find the spaces in a defense for open looks. At the other end of the floor Harken is a plus defender with quick hands who swipes a few steals per game.
Jaylan Hornsby – 6’3” / Junior / St. Joseph’s Prep / NJ Scholars Elite / Shooting Guard: The former Overbrook (NJ) two-sport standout (Also plays football.) averaged 20 ppg.; 7.4 rebounds; 2.5 assists and 2.4 steals per game. After the 2021-22 season Hornsby was named as the 2021-22 Tri-County (NJ) Basketball POY. This past winter he posted impressive scoring games of 28 points (vs. Burlington) and then 33 points (vs. Cherry Hill East). During the spring circuit Hornsby killed it at Nike EYBL Session 2, showing that he is a downhill guard who can get to the cup at will and shoot the three. Did we mention that Hornsby is also a major football recruit (WR) who holds 11 DI offers?
Myles Mucius Myles Mucius 6'6" | SF MacDuffie School (MA) | 2024 PA – 6’6” / Junior / MacDuffie School (MA) / Team Durant / Small Forward: Mucius is a long and athletic wing who first grabbed our attention as a freshman. With his length, end to end speed and impressive vertical leap, Mucius is a force in transition. He frequently caps a fast break with a crowd-pleasing slam. In the half-court Mucius can use his elusive handles to navigate through a defense and then finish at the rim. Over the last two years this former Phelps School standout has developed a respectable three-point shot as well. On defense, Mucius is an extremely reliable rebounder and intimidating rim protector.
DeMajh Salisbery – 6’1” / Junior / Perkiomen School / Philly Pride National / Combo Guard: Last season for Conestoga Valley (PA), Salisbery posted 19 ppg. and picked up offers from Binghamton and Albany. Now Salisbery (Former Temple star, Dustin Salisbery is his father.) is taking his talents to the Perkiomen School and reclassing onto the 2024 graduate year. The Panthers are adding an elite combo guard who can hit triples, score off the dribble-drive and get out in transition. Salisbery does a tremendous job of getting to his spots regardless of opponent’s defensive scheme. As a bonus to all his scoring ability, Salisbery is a willing distributor and a solid rebounding guard.
Jermai Stewart-Herring – 6’3” / Senior / Roman Catholic / We R1 / Combo Guard: A recent transfer from St. Elizabeth (DE), Stewart-Herring is an All-State player who comes with a huge reputation (21 ppg. & 10 rpg.; 2021-22 Diamond Conference POY). Philly HS Live I was our first look at Stewart-Herring in a Roman Catholic uniform, and he did not disappoint. He is a superb athlete who thrives on the breakout and can play above the rim. In a grinding, half-court style contest, Stewart-Herring can score at all three levels. At the other end, Stewart-Herring is an intense competitor who is willing to defend for 94 feet.
