Let’s jump into it…
Adren Roberts Adren Roberts 6'5" | SG Somerset Canyons | 2022 State FL picked up an offer from Barry University on May 3rd. The 6-foot-5 wing appeared to waste little time and signed with the Buccaneers shortly after. Roberts averaged 9.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 52 percent from the field at North Broward Prep. He also went 17-of-42 (40 percent deep). Roberts is developing a high-quality 3-level shot while already having a strong base of athleticism. He can be key in transition and help around the glass.
Aidan Abell Aidan Abell 6'6" | SG Westminster Academy | 2022 State FL earned an offer from Walsh University (OH). The 6-foot-5 shooting guard is one of the best available prospects in the state. Abell has heard from schools such as Mount St Mary’s (MD), Southern Utah and Florida Gulf Coast. Moreover, D2 and NAIA programs have been in contact. Abell holds offers from two post grad programs.
Caleb Ullysse recently committed to Houghton College (NY). The Highlanders complete at the Division III level. The 6-foot-5 forward played at Fort Lauderdale Calvary Christian Academy.
Yasmani Torriente Yasmani Torriente 6'3" | SF Brito | 2022 State FL holds an offer from NAIA Florida Memorial University. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 12.8 points and five boards per game while shooting 58 percent from the field for Miami High. Moreover, he went 12-of-21 (57 percent) from deep. Torriente is a high-flyer that can score above the rim. He has the size and shooting efficiency to help a college program.
Malachi Hyppolite is a prospect I liked at the Miami-Dade Top 24 event. The South Miami product averaged 20.5 points, 4.3 assists, four rebounds and two steals per game while shooting 54 percent from the field. In addition, Hyppolite went 31-of-99 (31 percent) from the perimeter. Overall, he shot 50 percent or better in 13 of 14 games in which he scored 20 or more points. Hyppolite scored 28 points and went 5-of-7 from deep against 22-7 Wellington. He dished out six or more assists in seven games and six or more boards in seven contests. Hyppolite is a great prospect if he remains unsigned.
Anyone on Anthaurio Fredrick? The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 30.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game while shooting 49 percent from the field. Fredrick increased his shooting efficiency by 11 percent from his junior season. He scored 48 points against North Miami Beach and posted 20 or more points in 16 of 17 contests.
