These final ten prospects closed out an impressive weekend of watching tons of underclassmen prospects and seeing who is progressing the most for their basketball futures. Grab a look before we close it out!
Carmelo Fletcher | Power 5 2025
Carmelo was one of my favorite ball handlers for Power 5 2025, as he made some waves with his handles. At one point, Carmelo took another guard right out of his shoes which was super impressive to watch right in front of my eyes. This young man plays with a sizeable motor that really has excellent stamina on both ends of the court, baseline to baseline. For sure a guard prospect that is intriguing out of Milwaukee Carmen.
William Kelly | Great Northern Elite 2024
William was one of the first prospects that caught my eye from my first viewing of this Great Northern Elite squad. This young man showed strong efficiency working his angles with his cutting ability to the hoop and showed great physicality thru contact while getting thru it. Not just offensively, but defensively William showed this consistent yet controlled level of physicality. One of a few prospects to watch you will see on this list from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Jamarion Bateman | Power 5 2025
I got to watch this young man a bunch last summer on our Prep Hoops Next circuit, and I recall him as a top performer on my list last year. What do I remember? This young man had a stroke from deep and guess what Jamarion showed again in this viewing? That same outside shot, but showed off a smoother more finished follow thru than I watched just from one year ago. He also showed development on his shot speed, as he showed significant electricity with his fluidity in his motion to catch & shoot from beyond the arch. This Milwaukee Academy of Science bunch is absolutely loaded in the 2025 class, and I can’t wait to see how the progress year after year with Jamarion and company at the helm for the Novas.
Kaden Gibbs | Great Northern Elite 2024
Kaden showed a well-developed outside shooter that was another prospect on this list with a speedy catch & shoot ratio. Kaden also had a significant touch with his speed by erupting into the inside lanes for key buckets too in Great Northern Elite’s massive win on Sunday afternoon. The first team All-Mid Peninsula member, and leading scorer for the Gladstone Braves showed off a multi-level scorer that looks to carry an even larger impact going into his junior season.
Keegan Vankauwenberg | Wisconsin Crusaders 2025 Premier
Keegan was another prospect from this list that was on our top performers list last year when we watched this Wisconsin Crusaders 2025 bunch. This young man showed such an improved outside stroke from last season, as he went for double digits in the game the last game we watched on Sunday afternoon. Keegan provides excellent length at 6’3 and a solid wingspan to get off some tougher shots from the top of three point stripe. This young man will continue to develop and I can’t wait to see where he is at come this high school season for the Kaukauna Ghosts.
Karsten Moret | Arena Basketball Club 2025 Snyder
They almost had to put a fire out in Menasha the way Karsten Moret was shooting in his game against Wisconsin Crusaders 2025 Premier. The Western Christian prospect wasn’t just firing from deep, he showed certainly a clutch gene that showed elite vision and shot selection. You can read into it by watching, Karsten is a 6’2 prospect that just plays at more dialed up when the games he is playing in becomes close. If you are looking for something to do in little Hull, Iowa this winter I am sure watching this young man would 100% be worth the price of admission.
Devin Brown Devin Brown 6'7" | PF Milwaukee Academy Of Science | 2025 State #196 Nation WI | Power 5 2025
Devin had to be my favorite prospect this weekend that relishes the opportunity to grab boards to gain second-chance points. His model of physicality is massive when he’s on the low block regardless of he’s acting as a board collector, using his finesse to score inside, etc. Devin also shows a significant amount of smooth play in the paint as he plays with a high basketball IQ to create his own shot when it’s there, or kick out to one of his teammates to outside like Jamarion Bateman, who had the hot hand from deep on Sunday. Yet again, another Milwaukee Academy of Science prospect to watch for in 2025 as the chemistry of this team is going to be fun to watch in Milwaukee.
