Spring is here and that can only mean one thing. It’s Circuit Season! The Prephoops Circuit is upon us. I will be covering and providing exposure for the Hustle Region Circuit. The Hustle Region Circuit consists of AAU Programs from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and New Mexico. The circuit features 10 stops including the Hustle Region Final in Irvine July 15th – 17th. Stop number 5 sends us to Irvine California, for the Hustle In The Sun, where we will have everyone playing under one roof inside the Momentous Sports Arena. We had a bunch of players that were nearly impossible to stay in front of. In this article, we take a look at my All Wiggle and Blow by THuseam.

Josh Magano 5’9 PG BTI 2025 (featured image)

W&BB Skill: Stop and Start

Scouts Take: Magano controlled the entire pace of the game, with his ability to stop and start. He kept defenders off-balance, when he played high, they were low, when he played low, they were high, when they were high, he went by. The PG used this skill to get into the lane, effectively breaking down the defense whenever he had the ball.

EJ Spillman 6’4 SF LA Elite 2024

W&BB Skill: Spin Move

Scouts Take: Spillman was probably still spinning on the way back. He had a remarkable knack for timing his spin moves. Spillman would be running full speed and then suddenly go into a full spinning motion avoiding the charge, leaving a stunned defender in his wake. What was even more impressive, was his ability to do this at his size. The big-bodied forward was one of the most agile players at the event.

Adam Bohls 5’7 PG El Paso Elite 2023

W&BB Skill: Hesitation

Scouts Take: Bohls was really good this weekend. Despite being one of the tiniest players in the event, defenders had a hard time staying in front of him. He’s a threat to shoot it from anywhere, and that alone kept a lot of defenders on their toes. When you add in his overall handle, and craftiness it was easy to see how he could be frustrating to defend. I thought his use of hesitation dribbles highlighted his fundamentals, as he would come to a complete stop, lift his head and eyes, raising the defender before blowing by.

Brycen Matthews 5’7 PG BTI 2024

W&BB Skill: Speed

Scouts Take: Matthews was one of the fastest players I saw this weekend. When he turned on the jets, no one was able to stay in front of him. In all honesty, he probably had a couple elite blow-by skills, including his hesitation game. He hit a player with a cold hands-up move, that allowed him to stroll right past his defender. His overall speed and shiftiness grade out at elite.

Markel Sanders 5’9 CG Swoosh Elite 2023

W&BB Skill: Downhill Driving

Scouts Take: I saw Sanders play this summer, and instantly remembered what I liked about his game. There is no secret with him, as he’s trying to get downhill and attack the rim. He has a good first step, but really it’s his frame and motor that make him tough. When he gets going, very few people want to step in front, and most players opted to make business decisions against him when he attacked.

For Exclusive Content With Top Prospects
