Hustle in the Sun 15U All Tournament Team

<p>The past weekend, Momentous Sports Center in Irvine, CA played host to the PH Circuit’s Hustle in the Sun. Held over two days(Saturday 5/7 and Sunday 5/8), the event featured a lot of up and coming talent. I was at the event both days and I focused on watching the 15U division. There were a lot of standout players, but the all-tournament team reflects the players I saw that consistently stood out over the course of the entire event. </p> <p><strong>1. Julius Brower - Linfield Christian/IE Fire Elite 2025</strong></p> <p>Brower stood out as the one player on his team that was able to consistently break the defense down off the dribble without a screen. He was a natural shooting guard. A good ball-handler who made smart decisions on the break; he recognized when to attack and when to stop and wait for numbers. He played he role of primary ball-handler for most of the weekend. Good catch and shoot three-point shooter. Comfortable creating space for jumpers in the halfcourt.</p> <p><strong>2. Charles Cobbs - Chandler/AZ Gremlins 2 2025</strong></p> <p>Cobbs stood out both days for his ability to play both guard positions. He’s a very good ball-handler and willing passer. He looks ahead in transition. Does a good job faking passes and getting the defense out of position. He was a good shooter from three-point range and can hit the pull-up in transition. He attacks off the dribble and gets into the paint. Does a decent job with drive and kicks, but sometimes needs to be a bit more smooth with passes. Finishes well through traffic.</p> <p><strong>3. Cole Vela - San Marcos/Coastal Elite 2025 </strong></p> <p>Vela stood out both days as a solid point guard who can score too. In the first game I saw him, he was one of the team’s leading scorers and had the game-winning shot. Good ball-handler and a good playmaker in the halfcourt. He’s very quick with the ball in his hands and is always looking to push the pace. He gets into the lane well and does a good job kicking it out to shooters with skip passes. He shoots well off the dribble. Does need to work on finishing stronger in the paint.</p> <p><strong>4. [player_tooltip player_id="1323291" first="Malachi" last="Henningham"] - Arizona Gremlins 1 2026</strong></p> <p>Henningham was another top standout both days. He has good size for his age and will most likely continue to grow as he enters high school. He’s a bit of a playmaking wing. He’s a natural scorer but a willing passer, especially in transition. He sets good screens and does well in pick and pop. He looks like he’s working on a back to the basket game and he makes strong moves to the rim. </p> <p><strong>5. Elyas Elegado - La Jolla Country Day/IE Fire Elite 2025</strong></p> <p>Elegado is a player I’ve seen before and he has always been impressive with his shooting. He does a good job spotting up in the corners and knocking down threes with consistency. He squares up well and has a quick release. Moves very well without the ball. Most of his points come from off ball movement. He fits in well with his team and plays whatever role is asked of him. </p>
