College Commitment: Mack Wall (2022 Jesuit)
There will be at least one member from the Class of 2022 heading to the NCAA Division I route directly out of high school. Mack Wall Mack Wall 6'7" | PF Jesuit | 2022 State OR was looking at a myriad of options but when it all came down to it for the Jesuit senior, the 6-foot-7 forward leaned on some family connections to decide on going to school and playing basketball at Marist for the 2022-23 season.
“I went on a east coast trip to look at schools and my grandpa was the head coach there for 20 years,” Wall said. “He still has some connections there so he set up a meeting and tour with the coaches. I loved the campus and liked the opportunities in business program along with the basketball.”
Wall may not have put up the biggest numbers at Jesuit, but is a skilled forward who showed that he could score both inside and out on the AAU circuit with Elite 24. From the action we watched, he was adept at moving without the basketball and getting himself into spots where he could easily catch the ball and score quickly.
As a walk-on, Wall doesn’t have any expectations of immediate playing time but no doubt wants to be ready for whatever might come his way. “This summer I’ll be mostly working getting bigger and stronger along with skill development,” Wall said.
Wall finished as the #41 ranked player in the PrepHoops Oregon Class of 2022 rankings. At Marist, Wall will join former Oregon Prep Trace Salton (2021 Lake Oswego) who signed with the Red Foxes out of Bridgton Prep. We would like to congratulate Wall and his familiy on his decision.
