Top Big Men Forwards/Centers
#17 Bryce Beisner Bryce Beisner 6'5" | PF Beloit | 2024 State KS , 6’6 F, Beloit, SSA Elite 2024 Black: The motor is never off with the big man from Beloit. One of the best shot blockers in this class especially when walling up in the post or on guards driving at him. Really long arms and a quick spring off the floor with a really quick second jump as well to coral loose balls. Continues to improve sealing and getting deep in post position and has really soft touch with either hand turning over both shoulders for baby hooks. Has a really good face up game and shooting touch.

, 6’6 F, Bennington, Team KS 2024 (PICTURED): One of the most overall athletic bigs in this bunch for the 2024 class. Can fly down the floor from paint to paint and is a big time rim runner in transition. Has great size and lower body strength to establish and maintain paint position, is tough to contain on rolls or dives to the rim, and has a good mix of power and finesse scoring moves with the basketball off the catch. Is a monster rebounder on both glasses as well.

, 6’7 F, Blue Valley NW, Drive 5: Rim protection and making impact plays are the name of the game for the long forward. One of the really good passers in this forward class and is comfortable knocking down the three ball and operating with the ball in his hands out there. The big fella has terrific footwork in the painted area and operating from the elbow and is crafty in his use of moves to get angles to score the ball. Has a bright future moving forward.
#22 Gus Hawkins Gus Hawkins 6'6" | C Mill Valley | 2024 State KS , 6’7 F, MoKan 2024: Has a wide and strong frame and is a force in the painted area. Understands scoring angles and post position and can turn and bury defenders at will. Really good catching and scoring quick when he has advantages and is highly efficient. Really good screener off the ball and on the ball and can catch it on dives to the rim, pound the ball once, and get to the rim and finish with power. He is also a really solid passer from the post and can find shooters on the perimeter.
#23 BJ Canady BJ Canady 6'5" | PF Topeka High | 2024 State KS , 6’5 F, Topeka High, Run GMC: One of the better 15 to 17 ft players in the this forward group in 2024. Especially during the high school season Canady did a ton of damage from the free throw line area catching and facing up and hitting little jumpers or rip driving and getting to the rim off one dribble. Canady is as strong as they come and is hard to knock off balance when attacking or once he secures rebounds, and his balance makes him and and 1 scoring machine. One of the best football players in the state of Kansas is also one of the better players on the hardwood in the 2024 group.
