Marlon Barnes Jr. Marlon Barnes Jr. 6'6" | SF Brush | 2023 State #161 Nation OH , 6’5 SF Brush 2023: Barnes had a solid end to his high school season and has made some strides for Wildcats Select this spring. Barnes is a great shot-maker from long distance with range to 25+ feet. Barnes has a long wingspan which allows him to extend for finishes at the rim and make stock plays defensively. Barnes upside is starting to turn into more consistent production as he makes the leap to number seven in a top heavy 2023 rankings.
Chase Walker Chase Walker 6'8" | C St. Charles | 2023 State OH , 6’8 C St Charles 2023: Walker is a very interesting prospect to watch and evaluate, as his 300+ pound frame is so unique at the high school level. Walker has always been this size, since even his freshman year of high school. Walker’s gone through phases of improving his conditioning and taking steps back, now it seems like he’s starting to figure things out again. Walker is an absolute load in the paint, with the physicality to bully skinnier bigs on the block. Walker loves going over his right shoulder by using his left-hand hook and also likes the spin move to, you guessed it, get on his left hand. Walker seems like a prospect who could have a lot of success in a mid-major league but I’m not sure how his game would translate against high major competition. Regardless, Walker is a very unique prospect who has seen his stock soar since January.
Kenny Satterfield Jr Kenny Satterfield Jr 6'2" | PG Patrick School | 2023 State #242 Nation NJ , 6’2 PG Whitehall 2023: Satterfield is a bit of an unknown playing his Sophomore season at Oak Hills and Junior season at Whitehall. Satterfield quietly was very productive as a scorer during his Junior season, scoring over 20 PPG. Satterfield has good size and I think can certainly play on ball at the next level. Despite being a score first point guard on Whitehall, Satterfield has shown good pace and the ability to create for others. Since the spring started Satterfield has added offers from UAB, Manhattan and Creighton.
Khoi Thurmon Khoi Thurmon 6'1" | PG Buchtel | 2023 State OH , 6’1 PG Buchtel 2023: Thurmon is another prospect who has taken a step up during his junior season, really proving his ability to produce against top level competition. Thurmon is blazing quick with the ball in his hands and had some big games for Buchtel in the biggest moments. Thurmon has become more consistent with his jumper and overall production this season and is a complete offensive player. It’ll be interesting to see which schools go hard after Thurmon on the recruiting trail.
Kyler D’Augustino Kyler D’Augustino 6'1" | CG Albany Alexander | 2023 State OH , 6’1 CG Alexander 2023: D’Augustino is a small school sleeper from Athens County who has proven his talents on the Adidas Gold Circuit for the Mid Ohio Pumas this spring. D’Augustino has had some huge scoring games this summer but none bigger than his 34 point outburst in a close loss to Wildcats Select. D’Augustino can play on or off the ball and has made some strides as a passer during the grassroots season with better teammates than he plays with in the winter. Division II programs have been very involved with D’Augustino and it’ll be interesting to track his recruitment.
