Let’s look into some of my picks…
Gavin Aydelotte Gavin Aydelotte 6'11" | C Benjamin | 2023 State FL – Benjamin/Judah Nation (PH: 43)
I think Gavin Aydelotte Gavin Aydelotte 6'11" | C Benjamin | 2023 State FL is going into next fall with a lot of momentum. The 6-foot-11 center has been working on his ball-handling and shot off the dribble. More so, Aydelotte’s athleticism and explosiveness is really improving. His power was already stable and naturally getting better. All of his averages went up from his freshman season. Aydelotte averaged 16.7 points and 7.8 rebounds per game this season.
Marouf Moumine – Cardinal Newman (PH: 62)
Marouf Moumine is a super athletic prospect at 6-foot-7. Add-in his 6-foot-9 wingspan and you have a player that can do a lot of different things on the floor. Moumine can glide his way to the rim off the dribble. His length will also make him incredibly difficult to contain for smaller guards. Moumine also brings his athleticism and frame on the perimeter and interior on defense. He averaged 17.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game this season.
Shawn Cineus Shawn Cineus 6'5" | SF Wellington | 2023 State FL – Wellington/Wellington Wolves (PH: 121)
Shawn Cineus Shawn Cineus 6'5" | SF Wellington | 2023 State FL averaged 17.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game at the Battle at the Beach event hosted by On The Radar. The guard/forward has a solid jump-shot while having adequate size to finish around the rim. Cineus’ versatility is a huge plus on the floor. He averaged 10.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game this season.
Kyle McNeal Kyle McNeal 6'1" | PG Dwyer | 2023 #297 Nation FL – Dwyer/Ball4Lyfe United (PH: 44)
Kyle McNeal Kyle McNeal 6'1" | PG Dwyer | 2023 #297 Nation FL might be the most athletic prospect in South Florida. The 6-foot-2 point guard can turn on a dime and get to the bucket with ease. McNeal is also efficient with his floater in these situations. His ability with or without the basketball in transition is also impressive. McNeal is essentially just athletically superior to most of his competition. His consistent jumper and outside shot also makes him tough to defend.
Mister Dean Mister Dean 6'4" | SF Southridge | 2023 State FL – Miami Southridge
Mister Dean Mister Dean 6'4" | SF Southridge | 2023 State FL is tough to defend in the halfcourt. The 6-foot-5 prospect has versatility to score as a guard or forward. Dean’s handle off the dribble can get him to the rim and finish with either hand. His size in the air will be too much to handle for most defenders. He also can use his frame to score with his back to the basket. Dean averaged 21 points per game this season.
