It was going down in Gilbert Arizona at Inspire courts this weekend at Victory in the Valley. Players showed up and showed out the last two days and I’ve got All Tournament honors to prove it! Here’s the 1st Team.
Hugh Tarpenning | PLUTO Prospects (Colorado)
The big fella had two solid days of action here in Gilbert. He played tough against some other tough post and he held his own. Played great defense and was a solid offensive compliment to Luke Howery.
Izayah Cooks| UH Elite Ignite
Izayah is a gentle giant, but when the lights shine brightest so does “Big Zay”! Wasn’t just the best post player in attendance he was one of the best players period! Very skilled for his age (13) and played up in the 14u bracket and got busy. Things are definitely looking up for Mr. Cooks.
Moe Lakes| Uptempo Hoops
Moe the “show” brought his bag with him and he put everyone on notice! He has a tight handle and a string frame that he used to get where he wants on the floor. He showed the ability to take over games with his scoring, and on the defensive end. Lakes is also a slick passer as he was dropping some impressive dimes to teammates in the half court and in transition. Remember the name people Moe the “Show” Lakes, he’s coming!
Tian Chatman | Team FSA (Minnesota)
This silky smooth performer didn’t disappoint this weekend at victory in the Valley. Three level player that played with poise and pace and never let the big moments become too much for him. He’s the youngest of Chatman boys (Minnesota basketball royalty) and if he continues to get better he just might be the best! The future looks promising for this young man.
Jackson Moore | TNT
Jackson Moore is an problem. Ask the other top guards and coaches from this weekend. This kid can BALL!!! And this star shines brightest when the pressure’s on! This kid has nerves of steel, I watched him make big shot after big shot like it was nothing. He’s a leader and his energy is infectious.
