Prospects are ready to breakout onto the scene, especially unranked prospects who should make a name for themselves. Here are the unranked prospects on the verge of a breakout.
Tyler Tejada, 6’7 SF/PF Teaneck 2023
Tejada already made a big impact with the Shore Shots HGSL 17U team during the opening weekend of the spring AAU season, meaning he is on the verge of a breakout. The 6’7 forward is comfortable playing on the perimeter as he uses his size to shoot over smaller defenders and can get to the rim from behind the arc. Tejada can finish above the rim and fights for rebounds on both ends, giving his team second chance opportunities. He is a versatile defender as he can guard multiple positions and alter shots around the basket. Tejada is a two-way forward prospect whose stock is on the rise.
Saif Al-Deen Saleh, 6’7 PF/C Clifton 2024
Al-Deen Saleh is an intriguing prospect with his ability to impact the game in multiple ways. The 6’7 forward runs the floor hard, creating easy opportunities for himself in transition around the basket. Al-Deen Saleh is tough to box out on both ends of the floor and moves his feet on the defensive end, as he is capable of showing hard during pick-and-rolls. He has a nice touch around the basket and is becoming more confident with his shot. Al-Deen Saleh is a post prospect who should only continue to get better during the spring and summer.
Isaiah Fuller Isaiah Fuller 5'11" | PG Roselle | 2023 State NJ , 5’11 PG Roselle 2023
Fuller is a prospect to keep an eye on for the NJ Beasts with his ability to put up points in bunches. The 5’11 guard has a quick release on his jumper and shoots the ball with confidence from behind the arc. Fuller is more than just a shooter as he can also score in the mid-range and finish nicely around the basket. He gets his teammates involved in the halfcourt and can get deflections on the defensive end. Fuller is a scoring lead guard prospect who should have a strong spring and summer AAU season.
Cyril Martynov, 6’10 PF Lawrenceville 2023
Martynov is a prospect to keep an eye on during the spring and summer as he suits up for Team Final. The 6’10 forward has a nice touch around the basket and knows how to draw contact. Martynov has an underrated face-up game as he can put the ball on the floor and can pass out of the post. He is a solid rebounder and uses his length to impact shots on the defensive end. Martynov is a forward prospect on the verge of a breakout, which he could have this spring and summer.
Brandon Russell, 6’4 CG Pennington 2025
Russell is an underclassman to watch in the UAA circuit with Team Rio University. The 6’4 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get into the paint and finish around the basket. Russell is more than just a slasher as he has a nice release on his jumper and uses his size to shoot over smaller defenders. He is a good passer and has the athleticism to defend both backcourt spots. Russell is a skilled guard prospect who should make plays during the spring and summer AAU season.
