This group will soon be seniors and have one more go around. Again, I will try to look at prospects at the opposite end of our rankings.
Let’s highlight some players…
Michael Bradley Michael Bradley 6'1" | PG Mater Academy | 2023 State FL – Mater Lakes Academy
Michael Bradley Michael Bradley 6'1" | PG Mater Academy | 2023 State FL has some shooting ability out of the point guard spot. The 6-foot-1 prospect averaged 9.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 3.1 steals across 24 games. Bradley also connected on 54 3-pointers. Moreover, he had three or more 3-pointers in 12 games. Bradley can certainly knock down shots at a high volume. He scored 22 points while hitting six 3-pointers and recorded eight steals against St. Brendan (22-7). Overall, he recorded 74 steals.
Denzel Dorn Denzel Dorn 6'6" | PF Gulliver Prep | 2023 FL – Gulliver Prep
Denzel Dorn Denzel Dorn 6'6" | PF Gulliver Prep | 2023 FL is a big frontcourt prospect for Gulliver Prep. The 6-foot-6, 250-pound forward/center averaged 3.9 points and 4.2 rebounds while shooting a team-best 55 percent from the field. Granted, Dorn was efficient in limited attempts, but he still put the ball in the basket. Against Miami Country Day, Dorn had seven points and five boards while dishing out four assists on a perfect 3-for-3 from the field. He also scored nine points and grabbed seven boards while shooting 4-of-6 from the floor against Jupiter. Dorn has some ability around the paint. In addition, Ray Allen Jr. is making great strides as an offensive player. The 6-foot-3 guard scored a season-high 26 points on 9-of-17 from the floor against Belen Jesuit. Furthermore, Allen hit four 3-pointers. Overall, he averaged 7.9 points and 3.8 rebounds across 23 games. I’ve always liked his work as a defender. Allen can really move and guard the ball over the halfcourt. He also recorded four games with 10 or more boards. His athleticism and motor is a huge asset.
Markos Myrtidis Markos Myrtidis 5'10" | PG St. Thomas Aquinas | 2023 FL – St. Thomas Aquinas
I think Markos Myrtidis Markos Myrtidis 5'10" | PG St. Thomas Aquinas | 2023 FL is a great kid to have on any team. The 6-foot guard averaged eight points, 3.1 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game this season. Moreover, Myrtidis went 28-of-93 (30 percent) from deep. Against Coral Springs (16-11), he scored a season-high 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the floor. He also scored 17 points on 5-of-8 from the field against Miami Palmetto (20-9). Myrtidis is a reliable player attacking the basket using his quickness. He can change hands and finish through traffic at the rim. Myrtidis also combined for eight 3-pointers in those two games I mentioned above, so you need to be aware of his shot from the perimeter. On defense, he had 57 total rebounds and 43 steals overall. Myrtidis’ hustle and energy is a huge factor during games.
Javier Rosell Javier Rosell 5'11" | PG Belen Jesuit | 2023 State FL – Belen Jesuit
Javier Rosell Javier Rosell 5'11" | PG Belen Jesuit | 2023 State FL is a prospect had a tremendous season for Belen Jesuit. The 5-foot-11 guard averaged 11.8 points, 6.2 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game while shooting 44 percent from the field. Rosell also went 37-of-102 (36 percent) from deep. I think his production accompanied with Belen Jesuit’s team success (19-7 record) is something he can build upon. Rosell had seven or more assists in 12 games. He also grabbed six or more boards in ten contests. Overall, Rosell scored in double-figures in 18 games. The production speaks for itself.
Anthony Dozier – Miami Southridge
Anthony Dozier has good size and athleticism in the backcourt. The 6-foot-2 point guard averaged 7.4 points per game across 13 listed contests. Overall, he scored in double-figures in four contests. Dozier can slice his way into the lane and should continue to play aggressive. Also, I think his athleticism is a plus as a perimeter defender.
