Garrett Dutro 6’6 W/F 2023 of Placer HS
A long wiry prospect who looks to score from the perimeter, using a mid-range jumper, his shot from behind the 3-point line or driving it inside. He’s on the thin side but showed he can handle fairly well on the perimeter, make his way to the basket, and handle the contact on the drive. He has a good upside. We’ll see more of him.
Austin Ito Austin Ito 6'1" | PG Woodcreek | 2023 State 6’2 SG 2023 of Woodcreek HS
He’s a good shooter from behind the 3-point line. He has to be accounted for. He uses screens, hard cuts, and other ways to free himself for shots. His handles are okay, he uses a pump fake and a dribble to get by defenders who fly out. He can get to the paint for floaters and jumpers.
Micah Johnston Micah Johnston 6'1" | PG Folsom | 2023 State 6’1 PG 2023 of Folsom HS
He has a good motor, he’s a hard playing guard, kind of crafty. He’s more effective when he settles himself, and the team in half-court sets. He has good foot speed, solid handles and will go into attack mode. His decision making is improved. He has a floater and a paint jumper. He works hard to stay in front ball handlers.
Jake Olson Jake Olson 6'4" | SG Oak Ridge | 2023 State 6’5 SG/W 2023 of Oak Ridge HS
He’s a good all around player, makes good decisions with the ball, and will make the extra pass. He handles the ball often up top. He’s a bit of a streaky shooter, but can knock down shots from mid-range and behind the 3-point line. He’s a player that should get touches late when the game is on the line.
Mitchell Rawlins Mitchell Rawlins 6'6" | SF Folsom | 2023 State 6’7 F 2023 of Folsom HS
A long thin growing prospect, with an improving skill set. He showed some comfort playing on the perimeter, moving and looking to put up a 3. He’ll have to get stronger, but he gives good effort going after rebounds, and blocks, while using his length to defend in the paint.
David Young David Young 6'4" | CG Folsom | 2023 State 6’4 G/F 2023 of Folsom HS
He’s a versatile player with a good all around skill set. He handles well, has good vision and passing skills. We saw him work on the perimeter looking for the jump shot, and he spent time facing up defenders in the mid-post area. He defended post players with some success, and he has the foot speed to defend on the perimeter. At 6’4 he’ll get rebounds.
Tony Rivera 6’6 F 2022 of Lodi HS
It was our first look at Rivera we’ll see more of him. He gives good effort working in and around the paint. He had good passes from the low block. He gave good effort going after rebounds on both ends, he had a few put back for points. He’s long and defends his area. He’ll run to fill the lanes in transition. He’s active, gives good effort.
