Rose City Ballers a NorCal Grassroots program in Roseville, CA, was a participant at the Southern California Spring Preview, at Get It Done Sports Arena, in Corona California. The event was a early season tune up for the 1st live period coming up April 8-10. PH was in the gym to see a quality group of 2024 prospects that make up the 16’s roster. Here’s our take on this group.

Tobias Aisien 6’5 2024 W/F of Bishop O’Dowd HS

He has a good upside, with room to expand his game as he continues to grow, and fill his frame. He had good activity going after rebounds and blocks. His defensive movement on the perimeter was good. He seems to be working more on his perimeter game, he had some success driving to the paint for jumpers. He runs the court well in transition, he has good hops and might throw one down with a clear path.

Jaylen Doty 6’2 2024 CG of Dougherty Valley HS

He was productive working off ball. He used control, and balance to maneuver his way towards the basket, using short corner jumpers, and floaters to get his points. He did a good job running point, showing decent handles, patience and made sure there was spacing before getting into the offense. He’s a good passer, and handles pressure. He can hit the open 3.

[player_tooltip player_id="1322182" first="Jalen" last="Flenory"] 5’8 2024 PG of Consumnes Oaks HS

A fast, speedy guard with superb ball handling skills. He effects the game on both ends of the court. His ability to run the teams offense and his scoring makes him a double threat when has the ball. He gets into the paint regularly, he’ll find open teammates. His foot speed and quick hands on defense causes problems for any ball handler he’s guarding.

KJ Ramey 6’1 2024 SG of Laguna Creek HS

Ramey is more than capable of running point, he’s at his best when he’s looking to put points on the board. It was our first look at the rising 2024 prospect. He’s what you might call a 3 level scorer. He can score from different areas on the court, he might hit a corner 3, he’ll maneuver his way into the paint for different finishes, if there’s a clear path he might throw one down. He has good speed to defend. He’s on the Wright’s Watch list.

Javi Sidhu 6’6 2024 SF/F of Del Campo HS

He’s an effective player in and around basket. He has a good touch around the basket, he finishes well using the backboard. His work from the high post, passing and screening was good. He can get to the rim off the dribble, he’ll hit free throw jumpers. He has a developing 3pt shot. His length helps him defend, and rebound in the paint. He needs to bulk up a bit, to handle the physical play inside.

Adaarion Strauthers 6’4 2024 F of Laguna Creek HS

He’s a strong physical player that can have impact playing in the post area at the 16u level. At 6’4 he had presence in the paint, he was an aggressive defender in the paint didn’t mind the body contact at all. He went after rebounds, had a couple of put backs for point, he can finish strong going up with balance off two feet. He’s a bit on the raw side, but he’ll give you his best effort on both ends.
