The versatility and size for his position (SG) is what excites most about Joshua Hood Joshua Hood 6'4" | SG Brainerd | 2023 State TN . He competed against public high schools in Chattanooga all year and two Nashville Metro Schools back in late November (Maplewood, John Overton). Hood’s ability to defend and score on very fast guards is wonderful, especially considering his height. Hood can score in a variety of ways, from long-range shooting to scoring a bit above the rim. He is not an incredible athlete like some Top 30 prospects, but he is certainly an average athlete with advanced wing guard skills.

’s teammate. He is much more mobile than I originally imagined he would be at this point of his career. Evaluation by Courtney Smith: Damarien Yates, Fayette Ware: Yates made a huge jump in the latest rankings, leaping 17 spots to No. 29. The 6-7 wing helped the Wildcats reach the TSSAA Division 1 Class 3A State Tournament for the first time under head coach Demarius Chearis. Yates provided reliable scoring, which was needed since senior big man

saw a lot of double teams. Yates can make shots from the perimeter. For the entire season, he understood how to use his length and frame to crash the boards and score over smaller defenders. In 2021, Yates averaged 11.6 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.2 steals per game.

Strong chest. Brave in the lane. Very savvy. Seth was a dominating high school varsity scorer both his sophomore and junior seasons. Seth is a terror with a plenty of self-motivation.

Shot selection is a concern. Devaki is a blur with the basketball, but he would be more productive if he were to draw more fouls. Garr is a gym rat with rare devotion to his craft.

Keelan needs to improve a couple of things: handle, lateral mobility. His strength is outside shooting. Keelan is capable of improving his weaknesses, while his size and shooting skill will forever be better than average.
Evaluation of his playoff game 3/7/2022:
Keelan was not the overwhelming offensive force that he occasionally can become. What he did Monday night was deflect passes and alter shots. Tyner was forced to slug out an overtime win against a undermanned yet prideful Alcoa team. Jackson’s long arms an advantage, but he managed to keep those hands in passing lanes and reacted quickly. Credit him for making the facilitation of offense difficult for Jahvin CarterJahvin Carter 6'2" | PG Alcoa | 2024 State #168 Nation TN and the other AHS guards.
