Tyson Ruud Tyson Ruud 6'5" | SF Basehor-Linwood | 2023 State KS – 6’6 W – SSA Hoops Elite Black (Pictured)
Ruud did a little bit of everything for his team. He rebounded the ball very well. He was the leader in the full-court press. On offense, he played very well out of triple threat. He is a great athlete and he understood he didn’t need to do much when he had the ball to be effective.
Garrison Phelps Garrison Phelps 6'6" | SG Saint Marys Catholic | 2022 State AZ – 6’6 W – AZ Select
It isn’t surprising to see that Phelps is a Division 1 recruit. He has the size, athletic ability, and skill. What set him apart from the pack was his motor. He wasn’t too cool to do the hustle work even when he wasn’t the one doing the scoring. He continued to crash the glass and lead defensively. And even when he wasn’t leading the offense, he stayed ready off the ball.
Blake Wilson – 6’6 W – Ball4Lyfe
Wilson played alongside one of the better backcourts at Prep Hoops Live, but he has some star power of his own. He played off the ball a lot, but you have to make sure you know where he is on the floor. In one game he had 5 threes in the first half alone. Not only is he a shooter but he defended all positions on the floor.
Anquan Boldin Jr Anquan Boldin Jr 6'5" | CG IMG Academy | 2023 FL . – 6’5 G/W – Ball4Lyfe
Boldin was impressive all weekend. I love guys who seek contact. He didn’t care who was waiting for him in the paint, he had no issue finishing against them. With great body control and the willingness to play off two feet, he scored in the paint at will. Boldin is also quite the athlete and has no problem dunking on guys when they are late to help.
Keaton Stone Keaton Stone 6'5" | SF Maryville | 2023 State MO – 6’5 W – All Missouri Attack
Stone was the glue guy and spark plug for his team. He did all the dirty work for his guys and played much bigger than he is. He defended smalls and bigs down the stretch. What impressed me the most was his athletic ability. He used his quick bounce to be a menace on the boards to extend possessions. A quick first step and explosive leap made him hard to handle.
