The Prep Hoops Circuit got started over the weekend all across the country. In the Oklahoma City area, the Grind Region Kick Off took place and we had some great basketball across the OKC metro. I was set up in Edmond at Solid Rock for the 17U action from start to finish and we saw some great individual performances throughout. In this post, we take a look at the very best individuals from the weekend with the All Tourney 2nd Team. In case you missed it, check out the 1st Team Selections Right Here. Stay tuned to Prep Hoops for more coverage from the Grind Region Kick Off!

continued to impress throughout the event in Edmond and has earned his spot on this list. Oklahoma Swift has a nice team that has several players that can absolutely fill it up but Braeden was the most consistent playmaker throughout the weekend. I first saw Braeden during Riverfield’s unexpected state tourney run a month ago and thought he could be a hidden gem in the 2024 class. After averaging nearly 16 points per game in four games this weekend, he’s off to a great start this offseason in backing up that idea.

– 2023 Forward – Pittsburg
(Played With Built Different By Pro Skills)
Built Different had a slow start to the showcase event in Edmond. After dropping their first two games on Saturday, they would bounce back with two wins on Sunday to finish the event at 2-2. Built Different is primarily made up of small town Oklahoma prospects and the one leading the way was Pittsburg big man

. The 2023 6’5 forward averaged nearly 18 points per game and was without a doubt their leading scorer over the weekend. He started off the event with 25 points in their opening game. He scored 22 in their first game on Sunday as well. This list is certainly more guard-friendly than the 1st Team selections but Allen earned his spot here.

averaged the least amount of points per game across the weekend at 12 points per game but that isn’t why he’s on this list. The Texas guard was without a doubt in my mind one of the best point guards in the 17U division over the weekend. Davis was one of the first prospects that I got a chance to see during the event and he remained one of the top playmakers throughout the weekend. Davis can shoot it but was more interested in getting his teammates involved with some of the nicest passes we saw. He also has the ability to flip a switch and get to the basket in a blink of an eye and finish.

– 2023 Forward – Moore
(Played With Team Movement)
I’ll be honest, Team Movement had a few players that we could have picked from as they just absolutely dominated from start to finish this weekend. They finished the showcase event 4-0 and the closest game they had was a 16-point win on Saturday. And as I mentioned, it was hard to just pick one player but we’re going with Moore 2023 forward

. Fresh off helping lead the Lions to an unexpected trip to the 6A state championship game, Lee was a consistent playmaker for Team Movement and led them in points, averaging 15 points per game. They had a few other standouts like Orian Scales and

– 2023 Guard – Fatima
(Played With Mid Mo Elite 2023)
Mid Mo Elite 2023’s squad went 2-2 and a pair of those games were decided by less than three points. On both days, all of Mid Mo Elite’s games were in the morning and sometimes that can limit the offensive output but that wasn’t the case for Fatima 2023 guard

. The ’23 guard averaged just shy of 20 points per game. He started off incredibly well on Saturday, scoring 22 and 25 points in the first two games. Brandt absolutely filled it up over the weekend and picked up where he left off from the school season. As a junior, he averaged just shy of 20 points per game this season and then came back and did the same thing in Edmond.
