Here’s a look at part three of the standouts from the event.
Destin Bray | 6’2” WG | Orange County
Bray was a breakout performer at the Unsigned Senior Showcase and turned some heads of coaches that caught a glimpse of his all-around skill set with his above average athleticism too. He shot the basketball well off the catch and showed the ability to put it on the deck and create for himself and others, he had a couple of impressive finishes at and above the rim and he brought great energy to his team every time he was on the floor.
George Cutler | 6’0” PG | Cape Henry
Cutler is the perfect type of point guard in a camp situation like this, as he’s a playmaker that can get to spots off the bounce to make plays for himself and others in pick and roll and isolation situations. He’s extremely shifty off the bounce and is able to blow by and create space, he has excellent vision off the bounce and finds guys for easy buckets and he can finish in the paint and knock it down in the midrange.
Jacob Rice Jacob Rice 6'7" | SF Miller School | 2022 State VA | 6’6” PF | Miller School
Rice was one of the more versatile guys at his size in attendance, as the 6’6” forward showed all of his ability to play inside-out and impact the game in a number of different ways. He is a high motor forward who can run the floor and rebound on both ends of the floor, he can knock down shots from deep and he can post up and score in the paint and he has a good IQ and feel for the game as well.
Kendon Peebles Kendon Peebles 6'4" | SF Catholic | 2022 State VA | 6’4” WF | Catholic
Peebles is one of the best available wings in the 757 and a lot of it has to do with all the little things he can do on the floor. He’s strong and plays hard on both ends of the floor and in transition he’s great with his ability to get to the rim and finish, he rebounds and defends and makes the hustle plays and he just effects the game in winning ways.
CJ Hightower | 6’11” C | Richmond Christian
Hightower is one of the more intriguing big men that’s still available in the Richmond area as he is big and moves fairly well and has improved a lot over the past few years. His size alone makes him an impact in the paint as he alters shots and can catch and finish above the rim, he can rebound in and out of his area and if he continues to improve he could be a steal at the next level.
