In addition to the Local Game, the event will feature a 3-point shootout, a dunk contest, a girl’s game, and a National A.S game. The local game will feature players from the high school programs in Las Vegas. In this article, we take a look at the big men that will be participating in the local game.
Aaron Price Aaron Price 6'7" | PF Liberty | 2022 State NV 6’7 PF Liberty (#7) – The A.S game caps a remarkable career for Price, who is coming off a state title for Liberty. The high flying forward should good plenty of opportunities to showcase his signature skill in a wide-open setting. A High Academic performer, Price has committed to Cal-Poly for next season.
Bryant Largarady Bryant Largarady 6'8" | SF Canyon Springs | 2022 State NV 6’8 SF Canyon Springs (#16) – Lagarady is one of the most unique players in the game. The 6’8 forward handles like a guard and loves to make plays for teammates. It will be interesting to see him get up and down in a wide-open game. The forward who was one of the leading scorers and rebounders for the Pioneers have received some JUCO interest.
Gavin Douglas Gavin Douglas 6'7" | SF Boulder City | 2022 State NV 6’7 PF Boulder City (#37) – Douglass is a high flying forward that can be effective with his back to the basket, or playing on the Perimeter. He is coming off a successful season, in which he helped Boulder City reach the State Title. Because he played for a 3A school, many probably didn’t get an opportunity to see him play. I expect them to be impressed with his skill and athleticism.
David Tinner David Tinner 6'3" | PF Cheyenne | 2022 State NV 6’3 PF Cheyenne (#21) – Tinner is a high flyer, that should have more than a couple of special plays. He’s only 6’3 but plays above the rim. He plays as an undersized post for Cheyenne, I’m interested in seeing what his ball skills look like. In the past, he’s shown that he can hit the occasional 3, or put the ball on the ground to slash to the hole.
James Freeman James Freeman 6'5" | PF Bishop Gorman | 2022 State NV 6’5 PF Bishop Gorman (#10) – I expect Freeman to have more than his share of highlight moments in this one. One of the state’s top glue guys, the high-flying Freeman will be a threat to catch a tip jam or a body at any time in the game.
John Derrick John Derrick 6'6" | PF Foothill | 2022 State NV 6’7 PF Foothill (#17) – Derrick is coming off a senior year at Foothill where he was one of the leading scorers and rebounders. The athletic forward will get an opportunity to show off his R&J and rim protection ability in this one. He will be heading to the Colorado School of Mines for next season.
Max Allen Max Allen 6'8" | PF Coronado | 2022 NV 6’9 C Coronado – Allen who transferred over mid-season, is a welcome addition to the game. The high IQ 5 man who began his career at Bishop Gorman is a good rebounder with soft hands. He’ll add size and strength to someone’s frontcourt in this one. Allen has signed to continue his career at San Jose University next season.
