Out of 17 teams in the 2025 division there were 3 that stood out and ran the table to a perfect 4-0 weekend. Teams traveled as far as from Texas for this star studded Easter event and the action lived up to the name of the event Proving Grounds. There was a ton of elite talent in the building and those who are building their brand by bringing their A game to the court. There were several great matchups over the weekend and several games that went down to the last possession. Below we will take a look at some standout teams as well as Top Performers that made a statement over the weekend:
Florida Kings – Perhaps the most dominant team over the weekend were the Kings who remain undefeated on the circuit and continue to demolish anyone in their way. You can pretty much say the entire team were top performers at some point over the weekend. They won by 20+ all 4 games and are on pace for a record season on the circuit. Their average win margin over 4 games was 45 points and they only gave up an average of 42 points per game. I believe this squad has a chance at running the table to an undefeated season on the circuit. Standout performers that caught scouts attention were Jeremy Penner, Alexander Springs, Josiah Cotto Josiah Cotto 5'7" | PG Kissimmee Osceola | 2025 FL , Jordan Mundle Jordan Mundle 6'1" | CG Kissimmee Osceola | 2025 FL and Janiel De Los Santos.
Athletes of Influence – AOI also had a 4-0 weekend led by the Maxon twins who put on a shooting clinic throughout the weekend. They had their fair share of battles and were tested by solid teams like SWFL Hoops who had a great game against them that was back and forth all game ultimately losing by 2 points. Sunshine Elite also played great against AOI in a 2 point loss on Sunday. Other standout performers were Kaden Ferguson Kaden Ferguson 6'2" | PG Bolles | 2025 FL , Joseph Gayle, Kerry Parks and Zion Sampaio.
Ballers Elite Academy was the other team to go undefeated at Proving Grounds and had a great overall weekend with only one game where the margin of victory was under 10 points. This team came all the way from Texas to the sunshine state and put on a performance throughout the event. Led by Ayan Patel, Braxtin Turney, Tosin Aiyejuto and Ethan Nguyen this team is a team to keep an eye on as the circuit continues. Very impressive weekend overall by this group from the lonestar state.
Other teams with a solid 3-1 record over the weekend were Heart and Hustle Elite, Lakeland Spartans Select, SWFL Hoops and FCA Saints.
Top Performers that caught my attention were as follows aside from those mentioned above: Jah Chin SWFL Hoops, Shaun Gardner FCA Saints, Kaden Suber SWFL Hoops, Derek Singleton Ocala Impact, Cory Sizemore Ocala Impact, Ryan Almeda Florida Suns, Jaden Wilkerson Sunshine Elite, Ryan Waugh FCA Saints, Zain Majeed SWFL Hoops, Tyreon Bradwell OTOD.
