The next article provides material regarding the 17U Team Pennsylvania program. These skilled players showcased their skills at the Hoop Group Pitt Jam Fest this weekend. They were looking to benefit from some exposure with a variety of college coaches present at the tournament. After talking with high school coaches, AAU coaches, college coaches, scouts, officials, and media members we here at Prep Hoops Pennsylvania have created a database of players and their AAU teams to provide information for any subscribers to our site. We do our best to promote the student-athletes that work hard on the court to achieve their goal of playing college basketball.
TEAM PENNSYLVANIA 17U:
Ernests Locmelis – Scotland Campus – 6’5 – power forward – 2023 – He brings a high-level skill set making him a solid performer not just in the post but also out on the wing looking to knock down the perimeter jumper when needed for his team. This young man rebounds extremely well on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor providing solid hustle throughout the game. Ernests puts in the extra effort during the offseason and is looking forward to excellent AAU spring and summer sessions to improve his overall talent in basketball.
Tristen Waters Tristen Waters 6'2" | CG Bishop McDevitt | 2023 State PA – Bishop McDevitt HS – 6’3 – wing forward – 2023 – The explosion to the rim on the fast break and the ability to create mismatches during a contest makes this high flyer an almost impossible player to defend for his opponents. He protects the basket with blocked shots on the defensive end while distributing creative passes to his teammates on the offensive end of the court. Tristen has garnered a variety of college interests with the overall development of his skillset on the hardwood.
Adelphe Hermann – Trinity HS – 6’7 – power forward – 2023 – His length and athleticism intimidate opponents defensively not just in half-court, but when full-court pressure is evident from his team. Also, an always developing offensive arsenal has made this young man a serious problem with his ability to score from many spots on the floor. Adelphe will be a big-time steal for any college lucky enough to have him after graduation next year.
Tyshawn Russell – Bishop McDevitt – 6’2 – combo guard – 2023 – An extremely quick and explosive combo guard that can score from a variety of spots; penetrating the lane, mid-range, and from the three-point line. His toughness and physicality make him a difficult player to match up with throughout four quarters of a game. Tyshawn is a proven leader and always wants the ball in his hands during critical moments of a contest, which shows more leadership qualities.
Karl Singleton – Scitech HS – 5’11 – point guard – 2023 – A harassing guard that likes to get up and defend while creating steals and deflections which lead to fast break opportunities for his teammates. He has an outstanding field goal and free throw percentage that he will continue to expand on this AAU season. Karl demonstrates sound court awareness and vision while having high-level basketball knowledge which makes him similar to a coach on the floor.
