The first article tips off with the Strick Hoops 17U team. This upstart and improving squad look to use the Jam Fest as a springboard to other quality tournaments this spring and summer. After talking with high school coaches, AAU coaches, college coaches, scouts, officials, and media members we here at Prep Hoops Pennsylvania have created a database of players and their AAU teams to provide information for any subscribers to our site. We do our best to promote the student-athletes that work hard on the court to achieve their goal of playing college basketball.
STRICK HOOPS 17U:
Brady Gorman (2024), Rochester HS, 6’4, power forward – A developing forward that is getting more confident in the post and from mid-range. With his size and length, he rebounds well on both the offensive and defensive glass. Brady is a rising junior in his Rochester high school program.
Levi Gray (2023), Western Beaver HS, 6’1, shooting guard – This skilled perimeter shooter can be deadly when coming off screens or left open from beyond the arc. He has a high basketball IQ and is very unselfish. Levi looks to have a big AAU season and would like to carry that into his senior season.
Xavier Rigby (2024), Lincoln Park Performing Arts HS, 5’11, point guard – He is maturing into a skilled guard and will look to benefit from the spring and summer AAU practices/games at Strick Hoops. While playing up will be a challenge, this young man is definitely up for the task. Xavier wants to come back to Lincoln Park as one of the leaders next winter.
Aiden Townsend Aiden Townsend 6'3" | SG Beaver | 2023 State PA (2023), Beaver HS, 6’3, wing forward – His ability to score from a variety of spots on the floor is a major strength for this young man. He has grown into a high-quality scorer on his high school team and AAU team. Aiden is working hard to play basketball at the collegiate level.
Justin Pasko (2023), Mercyhurst Prep HS, 6’2, wing forward – A talented slasher with an above-average mid-range jumper. He has excellent knowledge of the game and is a leader for his team on the hardwood. Justin will surprise some people next season for school ball with a solid AAU performance this spring/summer.
Themistocles Balouris (2023), North Allegheny HS, 6’2, wing forward – Despite not receiving a big amount of playing time this winter he has shown deserving of quality time for his AAU program. Look for an improving arsenal of skills as we progress this summer. Themistocles is a great student and a high IQ performer.
Dorian Mcghee (2024), Lincoln Park Performing Arts HS, 6’3, power forward – This big, strong football-style player rebounds at a high level on both ends of the floor. He has developed an improved post-game and passes well out of the low block. Dorian likes to play aggressively and sets solid screens to free up the guards for open shots.
Alex Tomalski Alex Tomalski 6'2" | SG Beaver | 2023 State PA (2023), Beaver HS, 6’1, power forward – An overall top defender that hustles and gets on the floor to do the dirty work for his team. In AAU he is looking to take his hoop game to another level. Alex can play multiple positions on the court.
Luke Tomalski (2023), Beaver HS, 6’2, power forward – He works hard in the low and high post on offense. As for the defensive end of the court, this young man blocks shots and rebounds extremely well to get the transition game started for his guards. Luke continues to improve with many aspects of basketball to separate him from his peers.
