From Thursday to Saturday, each day will consist of two championship games. Let’s take a look at some of the top prospects competing in Thursday’s 1A Title game.
Thursday, 5 p.m: Bishop Canevin Vs. Union (1A)
Kai Spears Kai Spears 6'1" | SG Bishop Canevin | 2022 State PA – 6’2″ W – Bishop Canevin
- Knockdown shooter from outside
- High-energy, always a threat on the wing
Kevaughn Price Kevaughn Price 6'3" | SG Bishop Canevin | 2022 State PA – 6’2 G – Bishop Canevin
- Bouncy, active guard on the glass. Potent scorer.
- Tough to stop when he gets moving downhill in the lane. Solid finisher.
Jaden Gales Jaden Gales 6'7" | PF Bishop Canevin | 2022 State PA – 6’6″ W/F – Bishop Canevin
- Long, physical wing that uses his size and length on both sides of the ball well
- Gets to the rim, also utilizes a solid mid-range shot
Matt Stanley Matt Stanley 6'0" | PG Union Area | 2023 State PA – 5’10″ G – Union
- Leading scorer for Union, averaging over 18 a game and coming off a 36-point performance in the semifinals
- Gets his teammates involved from the guard spot, calm leader.
Mark Stanley Mark Stanley 6'2" | SF Union | 2023 State PA – 6’0″ W- Union
- Sharp-shooting wing, brother of leading scorer Matt
- Excellent rebounder for his position and size
