#40 Carter Lawrence Carter Lawrence 6'7" | PF Potomac School | 2023 State VA | 6’7” PF | Potomac School
Lawrence transferred to Potomac School and reclassified to the 2023 class, which should really open his recruitment as he showed a lot of improvement in different areas and has a lot of tools that division one schools like in a big man. At 6’7”, he has the ability to play inside-out as he can make shots from deep and he can post up and score over the shoulder, he’s improved as an athlete and is finishing above the rim and rebounding in traffic consistently and he has good vision and playmaking ability for a big man as well.
#42 Kris Mickens Kris Mickens 6'5" | CG National Christian Academy | 2023 State MD | 6’3” SG | Fairfax Christian
Mickens transferred to Fairfax Christian from Paul VI and reclassified to the 2023 class, and he’s part of a talented core of 2023 players that scholarship coaches should really be on this summer and moving forward. He’s a well built and big guard who can play on or off the basketball, he’s an excellent athlete who can get downhill and play above the rim and he’s a good rebounder for his position, he has good tools defensively on the ball where he gets deflections and help side where he can come and block shots and he’s improved as a catch and shoot guy from deep as well.
#43 Ralph Martino Ralph Martino 6'5" | SF Shabach Christian Academy | 2023 VA | 6’5” SF | John Champe
Martino is a big part of the John Champe revival that’s happening in Loudoun County right now, and he is a very intriguing prospect moving forward over the next few years as he has huge upside. At 6’5” he has great size on the wing with good length and is a big time athlete who thrives in the open floor and when he gets downhill, he uses his length defensively to get deflections and rebound as well as challenge shots and while he is a little bit streaky as a shooter he can get hot and knock down multiple in a row when you don’t respect him from deep.
#50 Connor Dubsky Connor Dubsky 6'4" | SG Sunrise Christian Academy | 2023 State NLG | 6’4” SG | St. Stephen’s St. Agnes
Dubsky transferred to SSSAS from Bishop O’Connell and reclassified to the 2023 class, and he’s one of the most improved players in the state over the past few years as he’s developed from mainly a spot up shooter to a full bucket getter in different ways. He came off the bench for the state runner-ups this year and was instant offense with his ability to get hot and knock it down from deep, but it on the deck and get to spots in the midrange where he can create space and make shots consistently and he has a lot of confidence and a growing killer instinct that makes him deadly as a bucket getter in bunches.
#52 Dj Holloway Dj Holloway 6'0" | CG Hayfield | 2023 State VA | 6’0” CG | Hayfield
Holloway came on big time this fall and was a big time contributor in Hayfield’s state championship run, even being named Region Tournament MVP. While he isn’t the biggest guy, Holloway is a super explosive athlete who can get downhill and put it down on top of big men and is fearless around the rim, he plays with toughness and is strong and physical guarding the ball and jumps passing lanes defensively and he plays with great energy and a good motor and makes winning plays regularly.
#57 Efe Sekeroglu Efe Sekeroglu 6'9" | C Virginia Episcopal | 2023 State VA | 6’10” C | Virginia Episcopal School
Sekeroglu came to the US this past season and was part of a rebuilding VES team that played one of the toughest schedules in the state, and he showed a lot of upside with a mix of throwback style in the post and a European flair to his game as well. The 6’10” big man has a bag in the paint as he has good moves and counters in the post, he can step out where he can shoot it and put it on the deck and make plays for others as well and as he gets used to the speed of the game over here he should get more comfortable and continue to develop.
