Top Available AIA Seniors

As we just finished up the 2021-22 season last week, we look ahead to where each senior is going to play for college.

Here are some of the top AIA seniors available:

Nathan Calmese Nathan Calmese 6'2" | PG Mesquite | 2022 State AZ Mesquite

Nate is fresh off of leading Mesquite to the 4A title. There isn’t a hotter name in Arizona high school basketball right now. His athleticism kicked in this past year and made him even more difficult to guard. He plays at his pace and has an array of moves to get shots off.

Garrison Phelps Garrison Phelps 6'5" | SG St. Mary's | 2022 State AZ St. Mary’s

An athletic wing with a sweet pull up jumper. College coaches should be all over this one as I feel his best basketball is still ahead of him. Not many are as explosive as he is. 

Patrick Chew Patrick Chew 6'3" | SG Brophy Prep | 2022 State AZ Brophy Prep

A good all around shooting guard with a college ready body. His feel for the game is what stands out to me about him. He doesn’t try to do to much of something that is not apart of his game.

Ahamed Mohamed Ahamed Mohamed 6'0" | PG Apollo | 2022 State AZ Apollo (Featured image)

A well built point guard expanded his offensive game this past season. A vastly underrated guard who also is a lock down defender on the perimeter.

Trey Phillips Trey Phillips 6'6" | PF Brophy College Prep | 2022 State AZ Brophy Prep

An athletic forward is tough and a good finisher around the rim. As his offensive game begins to expand he will become more attractive to college scouts.

Blessing Nwotite Blessing Nwotite 6'3" | SG Paradise Honors | 2022 State AZ Paradise Honors 

A two-guard who impacts the game on both ends. Blessing is disruptive on defense and also is an improving outside shooter. He’s also a very good rebounder from his position.

Jeremiah Cherry Jeremiah Cherry 6'9" | C St. Mary's | 2022 State AZ St. Mary’s

“Bear” possesses a combination of size and footwork that don’t come along every day. He’s a willing rebounder and shot blocker. Once a college program gets a hold of this young man, the sky is the limit.

Jason Parent Jason Parent 6'5" | SF Prescott | 2022 State AZ Prescott

An athletic wing guard can go on hot streaks. He’s been on the radar for some high academic schools for awhile and will undoubtedly find a home. Parent could also re-class as he’s still 17 years old.

Michael Saba Michael Saba 6'8" | PF Chaparral | 2022 State AZ Chaparral

The big man has steadily been improving during his high school career. A very good rebounder with an improving perimeter touch. He’s always been a good ball handler for his size and plays with a good motor.
